Wedding favours that don’t suck

Hi all, I’d love to hear your wedding favour ideas or what you actually chose. I do not want anything that will just get tossed in the garbage or in the back of the cupboard. I was thinking something edible may be the best option. Thank everyone!

Nicely packed chocolates for each seating is a nice idea of a favour for guests to enjoy or take home as their choice. Customized candy is also a great concept to make as your day with initials.

Alternative is seeds that you feel is good to plant with a Thank you note.

We're definitely going to opt for the photo booth also. Smiley smile Great idea.

Such a cute idea! I like the idea of an edible favour, something sweet to enjoy at the end of the night sounds perfect.

I think that's definitely the way to go - I definitely do not want things left behind at the end of the night.

We were originally going to do beer coozies for our guests... but we decided on doing a wicked photo booth where guests get to take home the pictures they take instead. This way its no "wasted" money that will get left on the table or stuck in a drawer and never used , and people will have memories of our night to take home

If you want to have that identifiable customized trinket with your name, a homemade wine, cider, or beer would be a hit. It's a consumable, you can customize it with your name or initials, but it won't sit uselessly in someone's place forever. And any leftovers can be easily consumed yourselves.
We did individual beer bottles with a custom label as our favor. A lot of friends have done small wine bottles. You can also order Jones soda with a custom photo.

We are going to do customized cookies with out names and wedding date. They are not to expensive, it's either that or nothing lol. I have been to a few weddings where there were not any favours and tbh they weren't missed atleast not by me.

My fiance and I have decided not to do favors at all. Since half the time guests forget to take them home and that's money just wasted.

Totally all you need!!!! Omg my SIL had monogrammed wine glasses at their rehearsal (her MIL did it so whatever) but we so badly want to get rid of them we just feel bad. They just take up space in our buffet now 🤦🏻‍♀️. Oh the only thing I've kept was a succulent which was with our escort cards. But I killed it pretty fast 😂. Also totally unnecessary.

Thank you for such great advice. I totally agree- I’ve always hated getting favours that will inevitably just end up in a landfill. I remember getting monogrammed wineglasses with the couples names and wedding date- I don’t foresee myself pulling those out anytime soon.

A photo booth as the favour is genius- we were going to have one anyways but I never thought of it like that. We were also going to have custom matchbooks made and kept at the bar which I think is a nice touch. Perhaps that’s all we need. Thank you Smiley smile

Edible is definitely the best option - but something they'll eat there. They WILL get left otherwise. The only one I remember actually having is the smores kit because there was a bonfire outside... Honestly, we didn't do favours as we felt a appetizers, 3-course meal, plus cake, and open bar was plenty. We also had a photobooth that consisted of our photographers taking the photos so everyone got photos of themselves developed in their thank you cards. Guests could also take home their acrylic name cards on their plates... 🤷🏻‍♀️. For those that stayed at the hotel (pretty much everyone) there were welcome bags. I vaguely remember any favours from any wedding I've been to and have definitely not noticed if there weren't any. Paying for me to be there seems like more than enough!
