Wedding dress alterations timing?

My dress is expected to arrive about 2 months before the wedding. So, I don't have a lot of time for alterations but I think that's good timing. And the boutique said two months is about when you should start alterations. I want to hold off as long as I can because I want them to store the dress for me!

I only had one fitting actually which was 6-8 weeks before my wedding. I would suggest going earlier if you need more than 1 fitting. Your bridal salon should be able to give you a good idea of when to book your fittings as they will know how busy they are and how much other work their seamstresses have to do.
