Wedding day schedule

Nicole, on March 16, 2018 at 20:13 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5
I am looking for some help on creating my day of schedule. Our ceremony is to start at 1pm. I do not have a bridal party but will get ready with my mom, 2 sisters and my toddler daughter.

That’s great insight. We are not doing a first look. We have a bit of a location gap as to where I’ll get ready and where he’ll be getting ready because our hotel can’t guarantee early check in. But that certainly helps. I was figuring about 10am for hair, my makeup will be done at the hotel I’ll be getting ready at. So that’s where I’m sort of stuck BUT I might just see if they’ll come to our room or something! Thanks ladies!!!

Are you doing a first look?

This is what we're doing, but it varies depending what the couple wants to do.

Hair appt at 9, followed by make-up. Photographer coming at 11 to do some getting ready photos with us ladies, as well as some formals if time. At 1:15 or so we plan to head to the ceremony site for the 2:00 ceremony. It will be about 30 minutes.

We will then have group photos with all our guests as well as a few couple shots for those guests who want to take some pics of us. Then, we will head off site by 3:30 to get some family, wedding party, and just us photos.

    Reception starts at 5.

Not sure what our timeline will look like for that yet.

We are not doing a first look though. For people who do a first look, they can have less time in between ceremony and reception because most of the formals have already been taken.

Our reception we’re doing a cocktail hour starting at 430-5, I didn’t want to make people wait too long and then was thinking of dinner at 6-630

Are you planning on doing a reception? If you're getting married at 1PM is your reception to be an afternoon thing or are you waiting and doing a dinner reception?
