Wedding Day Reveal - Traditional or Modern?

Indian traditional wear and Modern civil ceremony.

Traditional I think, we debated it for a while but I don't think I want to do a first look.

We do everything together and have no bridal party so we'll get ready together, do photos first then head to the venue together. I don't want people waiting around between the ceremony and reception.

Traditional! We both agree we want the first time he sees me to be as I'm walking down the aisle and everyone sees our first look.

Modern! We are having an evening wedding, so we are going to do first look photos, and then all other photos before the wedding, so we can go right from our ceremony to the reception.

Modern. Much to my mom's dismay, we will be doing a first look. I would have been fine going traditional, but our wedding is in January, so to have any daylight for our photos, we need to do them first, with ceremony at sunset.

I think it will be nice to have those photos, and those moments to see each other before the ceremony. We will have been living together for 6 years by then, so even 12-15 hours apart the night before will feel like a long time!

Also, I'm very emotional, and I know I will be emotional during the ceremony, but hopefully a liiittle bit more controlled if I get some of that out of the way beforehand.

Modern! We did a first look and loved it!

Traditional for this aspect.

Modern! We're doing all our photography before the ceremony too.

Traditional, I really don’t like the idea of the first look, I’d rather see his face when I walk down the aisle

Traditional. It’s FH that wants it traditional. I wanted first look so we could do photos before hand. But he said no way. I also know I’ll cry with the more traditional way

This one is up in the air I like the idea of the modern having the first look getting pictures of that but then again when I’m at a wedding I love watching the groom see the bride for the first time so I’m on the fence not sure yet.

Traditional - FH said that he wants to see me for the first time when I’m walking down the aisle, so that was that. (Doesn’t help our ceremony is at 11 am, so we don’t really have time for a first look)

Traditional. I'm not sure into the First Look deal.

Traditional! I have never really liked the idea of first look, they make cute pictures but that's it. My fiance is very much against them!! He told me he does not want to see me in my hair, makeup, dress and all that until I'm walking down the aisle. And I agreed so we will do traditional and I think that it will be beautiful, emotional but still beautiful.

Traditional! I wanted the first time we see each other to be down the aisle.

Traditional! I want him to be surprised when I walk down the aisle!

Traditional; my FH doesn't want to see me before the ceremony.

Traditional! But will do first look with my parents

Traditional, it’s what my fiancé really wants and I like the idea as well of not seeing each other until I am walking down the isle.

I love the idea of the first looks! Those are always so emotional when I see them on TV or the internet! I love them too as I find them more personally as it is shared between just he Bride and Groom in that moment!

However as much as I love the first looks we will be saving it for me walking down the isle! I love it just as much and my fiance is more for the isle first look too! : )
