Videographer or a second photographer?

Second photographer. May not be the popular opinion, but my FH and I talked about it and neither of us actually believe we would re-watch a video. We know we would talk the photos out and look at them though

I think I might be the unpopular opinion, but I think I would go with neither. As long as I have a couple good photos that I will display or look at often, that's all the money I would want to spend and our photographer we have is affordable and amazing! I would rather put the money towards upgrading my wedding menu to surf and turf since it's on the east coast and I can never have too much lobster!! Realistically with the price of videographers it would probably come out to being the same price, haha!
Instead, we will do surf and turf for our rehearsal dinner and we are happy with that!

We had 2 photographers and it was amazing. It's cool to be able to see the posed pictures, as well as the candid view from a second photographer.

My parents got married in '99 and my Papa (my moms dad) filmed the whole thing on a held video camera - I find it so sweet to be able to look back with my parents at their special day and so we caved and hired a friend in the business of videography.

I do think Pinterest and Instagram has created an unrealistic expectation because many of those photos are staged - or cost a fortune. However if you do a little digging you might just find someone with an amazing talent that also fits your budget. I trust our photographers to capture our day beautifully I am only worried about my opinion and criticism of myself in those photographs.

I would upgrade my photography package. I don't have time to watch tv right now let alone a video of my wedding.

Definitely a videographer. I was pretty bummed we couldn’t afford one.

I absolutely LOVE the little clips from videographers, so I'd have to go with that. They are just so sweet and all the music and stuff that goes with it. They are just wayyyy out of my budget range. Again, bring on more money!

We had a second photographer. So I would stick with that choice!

Second photographer. My mom is gifting us a videographer for the wedding.

A second photographer! We're skipping a videographer as neither of us find it mandatory to have a wedding video.

Videographer!! im so sad we couldn't afford a professional, but my FH dad takes videos and makes short films so he said he would put something together for us

We have 2 photographers and 1 videographer, but if I could I would add another videographer.

We’re fortunate enough to have both plus even a second videographer! Photography and videography are quite important to the both of us so we didn’t want to skimp on this!

We are doing both. A second photographer for part of the day and a videographer. It increased the budget, but I am told the memories will be worth it.

This is hard because we're asking someone we know to do both so I'm not sure, I guess I won't rather have an actual photographer

I would add a videographer since we already have two shooters with our photography package. But if our package did not include the second shooter and I had to choose I'd pick having the second shooter.

Videographer! Would love to have one but not in the budget.
