Venue changed

Angele, on July 11, 2018 at 14:43 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 12

We have sent out the invitations like 3 months ago. Now the venue has changed. No money has been lost. Deposit was given back to us. So our dilemma is..... Should we send new invites to the guest? What are your thoughts or suggestions?? Total invites responded is 22.

Agree mass email/ calling people you cant contact via email.

No need to spend the $$ again!

Just send a big e-mail, and call those who tend to not use e-mail frequently (order family members, etc.)

I think in this case a mass e-mail is totally acceptable. It is the easiest and fastest way to let people know of the change.

It depends how many people you have invited. You could call everyone. You could send out new invitations or update cards. Or, you could send an email, text, or Facebook message. The more formal method would be another invitation or update card, but I think you can get away with a less formal method for a change.

Give them all a call and let them know of the venue change.

I would just do as Brittany said and use the wedding wire website and if your guests don’t check it as mine don’t then just send an email or a call and let them know of the venue change.

You have to inform the guests. Most likely with new invitations. If you have the rsvps it will be a bit easier

I agree with Brittany, and update card is a great idea. Let’s everyone know of the change with out having to resend all your invites.

Drop a line by email to give everyone a heads up. Sending cards is more money and they have the main information needed except the venue name and address.

Do you have a wedding website? And was it on the invitation?

Could you update something online and send out an electronic notice?

You definitely need to send out something, whether a new invitation, or an e-vite... Depending on your budget, you could do a much less expensive "update details card", they are less than $0.80 from Staples Print Centre...
