Use it or lose it? - Upgraded transportation

Joey, on June 17, 2019 at 08:44 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 27

Limos and carriages and sports cars - oh my! Are you hiring a party bus or a vintage car, or taking an Uber or taxi or shuttle to get around, or will you keep things extra simple and use your own car, or even walk on your wedding day?

Upgraded transportation - will you use it or lose it?

Probably nothing fancy. I'm going to see if my parents would mind us using their vehicles the day of instead of our own....They have two SUVs that seat seven with room to spare while my FH and I have a sedan that seats five. With the bridal party and various other things to trek everywhere, the extra space will be a definite plus. That's about as upgraded as we are getting.

No transportation will be needed by us. Everything is all in one place.

Might have a party bus, if all else fails, black Ubers will suffice, to get to and from a park in which the wedding party will be taking pics.

We do not have any special transportation arranged.

Our venue is 2 minutes from our house so we just plan on going home.

Using. My dad is letting us use his 57 Chevy Belair 😊 he's had it since I was a year old and it's my favourite car!

Lose it. Our ceremony, reception, and hotel are all at the same venue so we're not hiring any transportation whatsoever.

Lose it. Our ceremony and reception were at the same place. Plus, neither of us drink a lot (and I couldn’t drink at all at our wedding because of meds) so we drove ourselves after the reception

Use it! our ceremony is an hour from our reception venue, so we’ve hired a huge party bus with a bathroom and everything! it’s one of the things i’m most looking forward to, as it’ll be a great way to spend some uninterrupted with the wedding party between the ceremony and the reception

Lose it. We arrived at the venue in my bridesmaids SUV.... There was no upgraded anything because that's a waste of money. Our venue was both reception and ceremony and where we did the photos was 30 seconds down the street.

Using. We will be booking a limo for going from the hotel to our venue and then to a nearby park for a few pictures.

Lose it - we may hire some sort of car/limo but will likely go with whatever option is least expensive.

My venue has float planes, and I would LOVE to use that!! I've seen videos from other weddings of the groom coming off the float plane and I'm just like, ummm yes please!

Losing! Everyone in the wedding party is staying in the hotel the night before so we only have to walk to the ceremony area. People will be driving to the venue in their own vehicles.

Use it (?!) - Though it won't be SUPER fancy, my dad told me that he was renting a 'nicer' car for the wedding day. I'm thinking he'll rent a lincoln continental (I love those cars), as they are sleek and super roomy in the back hahaha.

Use it! We are getting a huge party bus for the whole wedding party! Since we are doing a first look, and we are all in town, it is much more cost effective for us

Lose it. The cost just adds up for just the time frame of pick up and drop off. We drove my car to the venue which was close by the house.

No plans to do much special, FH REALLY wants a Porsche to arrive in style and take photos with but that would not be transporting the wedding party ha ha. Not sure yet! So maybe using maybe losing.

Lose it- Because we will be doing photo's at certain locations people won't be seeing what we drive and its a 7 minute transportation from each place.

Lose it. Our wedding venue is out of town and we have it for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so we will be driving out with our own vehicle and driving home in it too. Only "extra" type of transportation we are getting is for the guests to shuttle them to and from the venue if they would like.
