Traditional or Twist: Cake Cutting?

We are doing the cake cutting right after our first dance, before we toast and sit down to eat. This way everyone will toast and see the cake cutting right then and there.

I'd like to cut the cake together. Though our cake will be small and 1 tier, and the rest will be cupcakes for the guests.

Traditional for the cutting itself. We have a small cutting cake with a lot of cupcakes. All together, it allowed us three different flavours instead of one for a little less. Giving people options for flavors was a plus, especially with the number of allergies involved.

We have decided to do the traditional cake cutting. We love having the cake that we ordered and can't wait to enjoy it with our guests.

Skipping the cake part entirely.

Traditional except we didn't feed each other just the cake was cut and served with the plated dessert to all guests.

Debating just having a smaller personal cake for the cake cutting photos! Then everyone else can have other desserts

Twist? We didn't cut the korovai - it's not supposed to be!

We had dessert included with our meal, so all our guests had that dessert. We had a smaller cake made for just the family to share. We were all too full to even think about cutting it. So, we just did pictures with it and then took it home to share with the whole family the next day

Our menu includes a dessert but we will still be having a cake. We will be cutting it out of the spotlight and serving it at the traditional European “midnight“ table! It will be a mix of sweet and savoury!
