This would be cool for an outdoor wedding but too much for our indoor wedding.

We're definitely opting to pay the extra for drone footage; but since my fiance is a nut and went out and bought a drone to play around with after the conversation, remember that even the highest end drones have an air life of about 15-18 minutes tops. They can be really noisey, so they're not great for moments where there's a speech or something important going on, and if you're buying a package with drone footage included please ask them how many spare batteries they have, and approx. how long they'll be using the drone for.

EDIT: Also, definitely not great for inside unless you've opted for super high ceilings and they're being used while music is playing, BUT they're amazing if you're getting married at a vineyard, or estate or anywhere that the outdoor space is beautiful. Keep them in mind if you're doing a winter wedding as well! that way your videography can capture the beautiful winter wonderland without YOU having to freeze in it.

Drone videography definitely makes your wedding video look really cool!! The overhead shots make things feel very cinematic!

I think this one really depends on the wedding/venue. If it's a great location with tons of amazing scenery, I think it might actually be a good idea.

I have seen drones used for venue locations to add in the video. Weddings can have some good shots and not so good shots.

Bridal entrance i can see happening as it easier to record the entry down the aisle.

Its a cool concept for parts of a wedding. like outdoor ceremonies. or group photos. and not to film the whole thing drone style.

I was at a wedding that had everyone go outside the church after the ceremony. and the photographer did some group photos with a drone. that part of its cool to fit everyone in well (they had a large wedding).

I've heard great things about this, but we're going with much more human options.

Too much. As cool as it can be I just think it's totally unnecessary for weddings.

We're sticking to traditional photos. I like the idea, but wouldn't be able to justify paying for it.

I wish having this was in my budget! My cousin had a drone for his ceremony and it took a massive group shot which was amazing!
