Hi Ladies,

Questions regarding wearing a veil.

If you did not wear one (or don't plan on it) why did you choose not to wear one? Are you afraid you will or did you regret it?

And for those who did have a veil, would you have rather not worn one?

I am leaning towards not wearing one (extra cost, would likely only wear for an hour etc) but would love to hear from everyone on here.

I did not want to wear one but my mom insisted on wearing one due to its" tradition". reason I don't want to wear one is it limits hair style options( I want my hair half up and half down) and I feels it looks more modern and chic to wear a beautiful head piece or flowers in hair.

One of the only things I knew I definitely did NOT want was a veil. There were a few reasons:

    1. I'm getting married next to a lake and didn't want to deal with the wind and a veil

    2. I didn't want a blusher over my face.. cause my groom knows what I look like, so what's the point

    3. If I wasn't using it for its intended purpose of having the blusher that 'reveals' the brides face, then what was the point in having fabric hanging off my head?

    4. I couldn't imagine having it in all night.. so if I took it off for the reception, again what was the point?

I am putting some flowers in my hair but that's where I draw the line.
