Hey everyone!

Just curious who you are tipping and how much? I’m having a hard time figuring out how much to tip/who to tip!

18 days to go!

If gratuity is included, you don't have to give more on top of that unless you really want to.

For services you have hired on your own, I would say 10-15%, but adjusted at your discretion for quality of service. For example, my DJ is going to be $850+GST, 10% on $850 (tipping should be pre-tax), would bring the cost to $1,037... Most likely we'd cut a check for $1,050.

And of course, you don't tip on products, so florists/decor rentals, etc don't require tipping.

Our venue recommends 10-15% for a tip (this covers bartenders/wait staff/kitchen). and they leave it up to you.
we are giving our photographer a $150-200 gift card. she is the owner of the business. but she is a good friend of mine. and she is giving me 2011 pricing (aka WAAYYY affordable). so we wanted to do something special for her (it will be a gift card to a store she can only buy things for herself so she does, instead of buying for her kid or hubby).
we will probably give our dj/coordinator a gift like a nice bottle
florist I would do a small tip (even if they are the owner) if they are delivering. and I think of a florist like a hair or make up person. you tip them.
won't be tipping the officiant. just a nice card after it.

    Hi Wedding Twin Smiley xd

I can't believe we only have 18 days - seriously August came up so quickly!

Gratuity is included in our venue (which supplies food, dj, flowers, alcohol etc) and the grat ends up being over $2000 which is a good chunk of change. Over half our guest list have worked in the industry (we met working at a restaurant) so the bartenders will undoubtedly be taken of on top of this at our open bar. Most of the other services we are having are people that own their own business so there won't be a whole lot of extras on our end by way of monetary tips - with the exception of the Limo driver who we will probably give $100 or so.

We plan on getting little gifts for people - a nice bottle of wine for our coordinator, a bottle of Gin for our officiant (he had in his bio that he likes martinis which is hilarious), flowers for my seamstress, etc as a thank you instead.

We only tipped the venue since the tip was included in the price; it was 18%. The rest of the vendors were all the owners, and you typically don't tip the owner (although you certainly could if you wanted).

I don't know how much I will be tipping but I know that I will have multiple cheques for tips so that I can give them one based on how well they provided their services. Kind of like that episode of the big bang theory when Sheldon heard that Penny got him a present so he bought a whole bunch of gift baskets so he could give her one that matched the price of what she got him.

No vendor was tipped since there service was rendered for the day. A simple thank you card was given thanking them for their services making it memorable.
