Table entrance?

Carmela, on December 24, 2017 at 07:59 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 13
Hi everyone, I need some help on thinking about my wedding entrance and what to incorporate in the front entrance. I was hoping to get some ideas and inspiration on what everyone is doing for the reception area or the entrance into their wedding, such as how many tables you will be having and also what are you going to put on those tables. Where are you guys getting your decor from?
Thanks for your help!!

I'm keeping things very simple because we have a gorgeous venue as is.

To get to our ceremony you have to go down a path around the side of our venue (it's a 1920's stone manor at the side of lake Ontario). So we'll have a mirrored welcome sign and then I will be hanging pictures on sheppard's hooks to line the path to our ceremony.

When we go inside for the ceremony there will be a table in a nook (its a circle stair case, so a nook is there) that holds our guest book (a vintage globe), our card box (an old mailbox) and our seating chart.

I was talking with my friend over the holidays about wedding stuff, and she said their plan had been to move the arch from the ceremony to the reception entrance door. That didn't end up happening because they didn't assign someone to do it but I think that would've helped to fill the space and a good way to re-use a decoration.

Hi, So many amazing ideas! For your entrance, an old French door with each window used as your seating chart decorated in your wedding colours would br beautiful and off to the side a table with a shadow box with a slot at the top. And a bowl filled with wooden hearts for people to sign and drop in instead of a guest book with the table decorated with pictures of you and the groom from the time you met leading up to the wedding in black and white. That could be an idea for your entrance

We will probably have a table for gifts/cards, a table for our guest book, and something for our table numbers (although that might go just outside as there is a small alcove beside the door leading into the reception hall). We are using potted plants as centrepieces and will have some on our entrance tables as well. Not sure what we are using as a card box (but probably a bigger flower pot in our wedding colours).

We will potentially bring in some of the larger flowers that we will be using at the ceremony to have inside the hall as well.

We are getting married in a barn and h barn doors have beautiful curtains! We are thinking of putting some other sort of decoration on the outside but may end up getting a decorator for it. Or maybe some beautiful large potted plants

Our entrance table was a long table. We had a memorial section, guestbook and gift section. At the end of the table we had our seating chart. I wish I could find a picture. It looked awesome ! It was decorated with a few candles.

When you walk in we will be having a table for gifts and a table for our guest book. We are unsure of how we are going to decorate it right now but typically these tables are at the entrance when you first walk in.
