Sweet or Savoury Late Night Snack?

Lynnie, on February 3, 2020 at 09:05 Posted in Wedding reception 0 29

If you could treat your wedding guests to a surprise late night snack, would you choose something sweet or savory?? 😋

Would you rather have a sweet or savory late night snack?

Ideally both! But if I had to choose I would choose savoury because it is nice to have something yummy after people have been drinking for awhile.

Due to covid, we were unable to have a sweet table so we decided to rent an ice cream truck! It was a huge hit for all of our guests

Definitely a savoury late night snack! Dessert can be left out all night.

I know the feeling! Their are options that sound amazing at my venue that don't work with my allergies for savoury options. We're looking into a sundae bar for this reason.

Ideally both lol but we're going with savoury since people will be drinking for a while and we don't want anyone getting sick from not having food to nibble on throughout the night

We did savoury (poutine bar) but I'm more of a sweet tooth. If I could've eaten it, I would've preferred the crepe bar, but it didn't work with my food allergies!

Oh man I don't know. Maybe savoury since we'll have had cake last.

    Both!

We had a fondue table, and then pizza and cheeseburgers. This way everyone got something healthy and then something that would suck up all the alcohol

We are struggling with this decision because food will be served from approx. 7 to 10:30. We anticipate a lot of our older guests will want to head home around 11:30. So basically we don't know if we would be wasting money or not since there is a desert plus cake.

I love sweets so definitely that. Something fun like an ice cream sundae station would be cool but poutine would also be good..

I prefer savoury but we'll have a poutine station, pizza, fruit display and the cupcakes.

Both! We are actually having a “midnight” table with sweet and savoury food.

Savoury since most would want to not mix more sugar with alcohol. Proper food helps to absorb.

I guess we had both because we had wedding cake and we had a popcorn cart. If I had to pick one though I'd pick the savory.

We already have sweet covered with cupcakes so I would go salty.
A bar nearby does potato nachos and that would be my ideal late night snackage.

We had both (poutine bar and cupcakes) but I think most people went for poutine while some had cupcakes. I wish we'd ordered more poutine and less cupcakes, so I'd go with savory.

Savoury! We're doing Tacos, though our dessert table will be out all night so our guests will have both options

Why not both?! Smiley xd If I had to choose one though it would be savoury. We're doing a poutine station for our late night snack *drool*. If our catering package didn't come with a late night snack option then we definitely would've done a pretzel station where we could've had a sweet and savoury option.

Well we had s'mores and hot dogs... but I mean if there was going to be an upgrade I would upgrade the hotdogs and get something like pretzels instead Smiley tongue
