Splurge or Save: A wedding planner

Save we are planning our wedding ourselves but we do have a venue co ordinator

We're definitely saving on this one. Our wedding is pretty low-key. So we really don't need one.

Save. I wish we splurged on one tho since it's a lot of work to plan it on your own!

We are splurging a bit on a wedding planner for decor and flowers and to set up and take down on the day of/ morning after.

Not going to hire a wedding planner. I have so much time to work everything out I don't feel its needed. I also have enough people who would be more than willing to step up and help with whatever needs to get done.

Saving - we did hire one originally but she had to back down. Looking back at it I'm glad we didn't have to have one. We both have 5 friends on both sides of our wedding party so they should be able to help us out more than a planner would be able to.

We saved by not booking a planner. I was determined to plan this all myself by reading a ton of wedding books. It’s been stressful, but we’re almost 4 months out and are on track. The only main thing we have left to book is limos.

Splurge. Wedding coordinators almost always save you money because of all their connections and experience. If you give them a budget they will stick to it. And they take all the stress off of you. Absolutely for it.

We are saving on this and planning the wedding ourselves! The wedding is now 95% done I’d say, I started working on our guestbook this weekend so all we have left is wedding favours and rings - all of which will be looked into next year!
