Curious to hear what unique things people are incorporating into their big day!
For us, seeing as were getting married in February, I didn't want/need a crazy amount of expensive flowers.
Instead of floral centre pieces we're doing Cheese Boards to go along with our table wine! We're having a cocktail style reception so we wanted guests to have a little something to snack on throughout speeches and dances before the appetizer table gets set up.

Picture cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit on a beautiful bamboo board!
Surprisingly this ended up being a cheaper option compared to your standard floral centre pieces that go to waste post-wedding!

I hadn't heard of anyone doing this before but I absolutely love a good wine and cheese night!

    That is awesome! I hadn’t thought of doing something different like that for tables! I love how personal it is!

    Instead of table numbers we are doing New Orleans street names. We got engaged there.

    I love the cheese board idea!!

    We also aren't doing a lot of flowers in our wedding - I guess the unique thing about our wedding is that while it's in the fall time, we aren't doing a lot of the fall decor/colours/theme. Our colours are turquoise and purple and we're having a peacock themed wedding.

    Yes! Thats what I thought. My MOH and girls in wedding party said if wanted help few days before or day before after setup we could all just make them then. Just gonna try to find some boxes to put it all in and then start them Smiley smile

    Oh wow,

    Thats steep, we are buying our boards and giving them to our caterer before hand. But roughly I think we're budgeting $30 for the food itself per board confirmed with them. They did ask which kind of cheeses I wanted because some of the more "luxurious" ones are pricey... But I wanted stuff MOST people would eat so we're going with 2 normal cheeses and 1 fancy cheese. The rest is super cheap, crackers fruit nuts etc.

    Definitely make it yourself to what YOU like and know your parties would eat! Best of luck Smiley smile

    Yes love those! They aren't hard to make and I think we are gonna make them ourselfs. I asked someone local how much she would charge as I normally see her do it for people during cocktail hour with huge spread. For 2 boxes she was asking around 180-200. And each box was only for 6 people. I can make it for cheaper than that and customize it for the each side of wedding party.

    They're so easy to make or find someone who can make them for you! Definitely a good idea to have them for the wedding party whilst getting ready too! Not overly messy and easy to eat!

    Love love these!! People will enjoy those Smiley smile

    I haven't really found anything unique to do yet...most of our things would be consider trends! We considered doing these type of boards for us when we get ready and that way we could eat something yummy
