Something blue?

Kristina, on April 15, 2018 at 22:03 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 12
Hi guys, I've got most of my outfit and everything sorted but don't have anything blue! My colours are plum and lime green so I don't want something that will obviously clash. I need suggestions and pics for inspiration!

My fiance's father passed away several years before we met. My sweetie misses him so much and I know he'll be missing him that day for sure so as a surprise to him I had his father's initials sewn into the inside of my dress over my heart with blue thread. My fiance doesn't know yet, I will show him that day!

I’ve seen little “I Do” stickers that can go on the bottom of your shoes- works well if you’re wearing heels so it can go on a place that doesn’t touch the ground. I’m wearing a garter with some blue. I’ve also seen some blue on the ribbon that ties the bouquets together.

My bridal salon gave me a garter with a little blue bow so you could do something like that. I also wear an anklet that has blue beads so I had something blue anyway.

When I purchased my dress, the bridal shop gave me an a white hankerchief with my initials embroidered on it in blue. My soon to be husband will carry it on our wedding day for me. It’s my something blue.

These were my colours too! I chose to do a blue rosary that belonged to my grandmother weaved within my bouquet. Before I found that though I was considering blue undergarments or a blue piece of fabric as my hanky that I could keep with me

Have you picked out your shoes yet? Sometimes bridal shoes have blue inside them so that they can count as something blue (even though no one will see the blue).

I thought about that but was told by consultant that it can show under the dress in certain lighting and that it wouldn't be a good idea to chance it. So hard to know because you hear so many different opinions.

Are you willing to do blue undergarments? That way it's there without clashing?

Hmm that's a good idea. I dont really have anything currently but maybe could buy something that would make a cute keepsake.

Is there something that would be more of a keep sake you could carry with you? Or something you could put on or in your bouquet
