Show me your updo!

I had a trial last week and my hairdresser tried this style on me that I found on IG. I’m so conflicted because I never, ever do up dos and I’m afraid I’ll hate the way it looks in photos. Also, I have a lot of hair so it looks bulkier than I would like.

Like this except sides and back will be undercut.

I had a hard time deciding on a hairstyle. I always wear my hair down, so it would be very “me” to leave it down for the wedding, but my dress has a lot of detail at the top that I don’t want to be hidden. I was also concerned about getting too hot with my hair down. This is my hair from my trial and I am over the moon estatic about how it turned out!

This is the same picture I used for my inspo when I did my trial. It is going to be very close to this but probably not the exact as my hair isn't as long as the model in the picture and I also won't be wearing extensions.

These are the pics I used for inspiration for my updo. I knew I didn't want my hair in my face and I wanted to show off my dress so it was updo all the way. I also needed something that was easy to get a veil in and out of on the day.

My hair will depend on my dress. I want something with a high neck line and a detailed back. If I do get this, I want a short waved inverted bob. Otherwise, I'll do a messy side bun with an inside out braid

I really like this! I was originally going to go all up, and had my trial for all up, but now I'm thinking half up.

I’m thinking a tighter updo for the ceremony, and then pull some curls down for the reception!

I'm not 100% sure yet, but essentially something like this.... All up, but a little loose... Volume, but soft and elegant. Probably will find a little comb or heapiece, and then have the veil for the ceremony/pictures.

Going with half up half down. Tried full updo but it hurt my head and found that this style looks more romantic for weddings. Also the other style I felt was more for bridesmaids

This is from my hair trial. I will be tucking some baby's breathe into it as well for the actual day of. My hair is ALSO a dark dark brown now.

No idea what I will be doing as of yet - different necklines look good with different hair styles and all. One thing is for sure; part way through the wedding my hair will be put in a ponytail as to not get in the way of me dancing! haha
