View quoted message I’ve heard such bad reviews about People’s and it always seems so unreal cause I’ve gotten my ring there and have been in a few times and I’ve never had anything like that before. The ones near me are always really good. They actually pushed forward the expected date for it getting resized when I first got it so I’d get it in time for my birthday.

I love mine, its sweet and simple just like I wanted. FH picked it out without me even knowing.

This is my ring🤗 I was set on a halo style ring, and looked at those with my fiancé. I later went with my family and my dad insisted I go with a solitaire but I was against it. I went home and did research and saw a ring I loved and it was a solitaire. We ended up getting a band (with a space for a diamond) and plain band that had a diamond that I liked based on the categories and they combined it and my fiancé bought that one. My hinting was showing him exactly what I want and telling the people at People’s what to do😂

Right? It was bad. It was like they thought "this young girl is just playing dress up and we aren't going to take her seriously"... well they also didn't get our money. And with the styles of rings I was looking at, it could range from $5,000 to $15,000 pretty quickly, just bumping up the diamond sizes ever so slightly.

The worst was when I finally found a ring that I liked, looked like a smaller diamond (under 0.5 carats), and I said, "So this is the size diamond it comes with?" and she looked at me like I was stupid and says "It doesn't come with the centre stone... that's extra..." Eep.

Damn, did they actually do that to you in Peoples? That's awkward. And $12000?! It better have been 1.5 carats or more! After the Spence experience, I couldn't imagine going to a jewelry store and shopping for something so important any other way (at a store).

He was pretty good about it. I think he thought "browsing" would give him some buffer time before actually having to buy one.

I went in a few times on my own... haha. I love how you can actually just try on a bunch of styles, AND see the price!! I went to People's ONCE, and after getting a "look" when I put down the ring after seeing it was $12,000.... I was like, PFFFFT not worth it... I like to browse, not have someone hover over me... lol.

At least he was willing to go in! I used to just show my FH rings on Pinterest and told him to steal my phone and check Pinterest when he was ready to propose, but then he decided to get a "placeholder" ring in the meantime that was not my style (so thank god it was the placeholder ring!).

I remember looking through the rings at Spence for hours either online or in store. I just love their selection and styles.

Hints... dragging him to the jewelry store every time we passed it... same thing, right? Haha. We looked once a year into dating "just for fun"... then we looked a few more times as budget reality set in... then he went in without telling me to look/find/buy the actual ring.
