I agree with Melinda! Thankfully my fiance wants to marry me for me, plus or minus some pounds. He married the person, not the external looks.

That said, i have seen my doctor to try and lose some weight. This is not for the wedding but for health as I have injured myself several times in the last 1.5 years and it has affected my ability to exercise and be active...

I have to stop losing weight because the dress fits perfectly today and losing a few more pounds in the next 2 weeks would mean the dress falls off of me! my nightmare!

I think this is a very personal choice. I myself have decided to keep up my workout routine, eat healthy (which we mostly do), and avoid all the free snack offers at work.

I'm not aiming to lose weight, I just want to gain muscle. I've always eaten healthy and I workout 5-6 times a week not to lose weight but because it makes me feel great inside and out. I mean it definitely will help me feel confident walking down the aisle so that doesn't hurt!

Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where women could feel worthy to walk down the aisle exactly as they are, wihtout feeling pressure to diet or excecise to reach some ideal of a perfect bride?

I so do not buy into the idea that we all need to get smaller so that we can get married. It's total BS. I am worthy to get married right now exactly how I am, because the size of my body has no correlation whatsoever to my worth as a person or my ability to love or receive love from my fiance. Just saying.
