We’re doing tattoo wedding bands. My fiancé has the style of ring he wants picked out and I’m just trying to decide if mine will match exactly or if I’ll go with another style completely. I’ll most likely see what the artist I’ve chosen decides will look best with my engagement ring. I’d like it visible still so it may be a thicker band so that my engagement ring doesn’t completely cover it.

We spend one day going into different stores. We are both really picky. My FH does not wear ANY kind of jewellery, so he wanted something simple, but still white gold.

I, on the other hand, was looking for something relatively simple as my engagement ring is a bit extravagant. But still I wanted something with diamonds, as I am a collector of diamond jewellery.

So, we went to 6-7 stores, looked at things we both like and once we finished our “round”, we went to the one where we both found our favourite items and bought them.

My engagement ring has a matching wedding band so that wasn’t the problem. However my fiancé wanted a Damascus ring. That has proved to be very hard to find someone that does it.

We did some online shopping for his ring as he wanted something very unique and specific. For mine he went to the jeweler who made my engagement ring as it was a custom piece and the band would have to fit with it.

Funny story... my FH didn't know what kind of ring I wanted and didn't want to ask me to give me a clue it was happening so he picked out a very simple ring. When he proposed I'm pretty sure he included the line "I didn't know what you wanted so you can exchange this"... I actually really liked the ring and it's simple details but it was hard to find a band to match so we exchanged it for a set - still simple, just with pavé stones on the ring and wedding band.

We haven't picked his yet but he refuses to spend a lot of money on it. I have heard absolutely wonderful things about an online store through Amazon called Metal Masters - they offer great quality Tungsten & Titanium rings for incredible prices (under $50). I have had several people in the local facebook group swear by them so we will likely order one shortly to see (this way we have time to get a new one if needed). FH really likes their rings and they have a huge selection. Worse comes to worse it ends up as his backup ring.

My fiancé bought all the rings himself. He bought them from a friend and they were a set. He showed me his ring but refuses to show me mine.

I think my FH is going to have a more difficult time finding a ring than me. He had me pick out my engagement ring and after that fiasco, I'm done lol. Anything goes for me lol.

Shopping for bands has been easy for us so far. My fiancé had my engagement ring custom made with my grandmas diamond, it’s perfect for me. We took it for a cleaning a few weeks ago and talked to them about bands. Since they made my ring they can make my band similar but with the details I want. My fiancé found one he likes and we priced them out. It’s more than we thought but really important to us and the quality is amazing. We aren’t getting married until 2020 so we’ll order them next year. They made the process so easy for us

Mine was quite simple and pretty uneventful. My fiance had purchased a bridal set when he bought my engagement ring, so I didn't have anything to shop for.

We went to the same store he purchased my ring set, to get his, and tried on a couple. We both really liked one and got it right then, no need to look elsewhere. Easy and the ring was quick to deliver!

Our experience has been really easy actually!

I had always told my partner I like sets, and my engagement ring has curved edges so it made it extra important that it came with a set! It was easy enough to go to the store, and pick up the wedding band that matches. I did try on a couple of bands there just for fun, but I loved mine the most.

Shopping for my FH was WAY harder as he doesn't wear jewellery. We went to all the stores near us basically to see what they had and start narrowing down was was interesting to him. Spent a couple weeks doing that.

The only issue was that, despite having my finger sized in the store, the ring purchased was a bit too small, so I exchanged it for a half size bigger.

Sorry to hear about your rings! I'd hate for anything to happen to mine! As it is, my e-ring was my grandmothers and the rhodium needs to be replated, so I'm anxious about "losing" my ring for the time it takes to be replated!

Have you had any issues with your rings at all? Did they need to be sized? I ended up needing them to order me a whole new set custom sized to my finger because I lost so many stones from both rings. It was so devastating after just getting engaged.

We found my wedding band on the People's Jewelers website. Ordered online and picked it up in store. We still have to get his band, but he's very minimalist when it come to jewelry so we'll probably end up with a plain basic band from the store.

We bought ours separately but only because my band came with my engagement ring. We bought his from the same store he got mine from because they gave him a really good deal after all of the problems we had with my set. We will never shop there for any type of jewelry ever again.
