Hey everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well during this absolutely crazy time.
My question for everyone is for September brides what are you doing?? Are you keeping with the original plans or postponing? My date is Sept 18th and I'm not sure what I'll have to do. I'm a little disheartened at the moment so it will be much appreciated to see what everyone else is doing!

I'm an October bride and our plan is to decide in July based on the travel restrictions.

I live in NB and they have now banned "large" gatherings like concerts for the whole year but I don't believe they've stated what large is. I'm prepared to elope this year and have our reception on our anniversary in 2021!

My next question for everyone is : Did you reserve a different venue then original or did you stick with the same venue? What if the venue you originally chose cant accommodate?

Yes it’s a great idea and it gave us some sort of relief knowing theirs a backup plan.
    Our vendors were totally understanding.
It was a little challenging to find a date where all our vendors were available but I started off with the reception hall, picked 4 dates and then called each of our vendors and checked off any ones that didn’t work. At the end we found one date that did work. Good luck!! And let’s hope this pandemic is over and all is 2020 brides can celebrate! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

That's a good idea! That way you may not have to wait all too long after your original date ( hopefully )

Keep a back up date for postponement to be on the safer side if things don't clear up. This time is never sure of what can happen or push back more for this year.
Keep safe by talking to your venue arranging a date they can work with you if your date doesn't take place.

Ours is Sept 26 and we're keeping it basically no matter what. We've already cut our guest list down to 45 people and will reduce to <15 if we have to. If our venue still can't legally accommodate 15, we'll get married with just the officiant and photographer and maybe postpone the reception. We've been together for over 10 years and we just don't want to wait.

    Hey girl !

My wedding is on Sept 5. I have one back up date for later this year in Nov and one for next year in May.
The frustrating part is not knowing when restrictions will be lifted and planning ahead with. So, we gave ourselves until late June to decide which date to choose!
I know this is so frustrating...wishing everyone good luck!!

Yeah, I’ve really procrastinated doing this but I think I’d rather be safe than sorry. My sister has postponed her August wedding to next summer and had an alternate date on hold as well. She found her vendors were being very cooperative through this. So hopefully that is a common theme with all vendors. Good luck to you.

I think I would rather postpone as well rather then not have my family there. I'll have to pick put a back up date to be safe. Thank you!

I was considering planning a backup date for my November wedding. Not sure if this is helpful but it will give me peace of mind. I would like to postpone rather than squashing my guest list down in the case there’s still a maximum number of people allowed at events.
