How will you go about assembling your all-star vendor team? Will you use old school methods like word of mouth and your venue's recommended vendor list? Or will you carry out your own search online using places like WeddingWire, social media, etc.?

Most of the searching has been done online, but we're physically meeting our vendors before hiring to make sure it's the right fit for our day. So I'd say both old school and online

All my research and vendor team was done this way. Kijiji site was one of the sites searched.
The only old school method was the venue since husband knew the place to go.

Mix, but surprisingly more on the old-school if I think about it.
The ones old school included:
- Venue & caterer (friend had wedding there previously)
- Photographer (Wedding Show)
- Baker (Wedding Show, but heard about her on Coasts Best of Weddings On-line)
- Hairstylist (Co-worker recommended)
On-line:
- Entertainment - E-mailed the owner of the board game cafe
- MUA - Online
- Invitations (My design but Vistaprint printed)

Both - we got some from a wedding show (which I think is a little old school), some from wedding wire, some from family friends, and then also from just googling

We did both. Our venue provided a list of vendors to get us started, and I went to some bridal shows/used word-of-mouth recommendations. I also did online research too to find reviews, etc.
We are 18 hours away from where we were married, so a lot of our communication was by email, but we got to meet every vendor at least twice in person.

I did a little bit of both. My Venue had a preferred list, and I went with a couple of them, but I did a lot of searching as well.

We researched a lot online, but every vendor except for our DJ we had a meeting in person to book.

The one exception is I will probably visit bakeries to buy a few cupcakes in the flavors we are interested in for our wedding cake.

I've done a mixture, I've found some of our vendors through wedding wire or countless google searches. And others I've found in person at wedding shows or through asking other married couples that I know

I mostly used WeddingWire to search for vendors but I've been friends with our photographer's second shooter for years and our officiant, DJ, and florist came recommended by our venue.
