The explanation of the "She said NO!":

So we hadn't been together very long. We met on an anonymous secret sharing app in May 2015 - the day my ex husband walked out on my daughter and I. We texted for a year - never met in person until April 2016. Things moved super fast and I told him flat out I never wanted to get married again. He just laughed and said "We'll see". I brushed it off.
So fast forward from May to August when he proposed the first time - while we were in the shower - I laughed and said "No! You can't propose without pants!". And then he tried again 5 more times in various situations. I said no to this man SIX TIMES in total.
Finally he proposed again on the front steps of our apartment at like 1 AM during the first snowfall. It was so sweet and he was so nervous. It was beautiful. My absolute FAVOURITE day of the year is the first snowfall.
I said not right now. Explained it wasn't the time and that I love him.
About 5 minutes later I was staring at him with snow in his hair, while he talked about how much he loves my daughter, and I just kinda threw my arms around his neck and said "Pause. About earlier. Can I change my answer?" He looked at me all confused and was like "sure, what's the answer?" And I kissed him and said "ABSO-*FREAKING*-LOUTELY!"
We spent the rest of the night laughing about it because he knew I wanted to say yes but he knew I was worried about the custody stuff with my daughter and getting my divorce final (my ex fought me every step). So now it's this big joke with us and we just had to include it lol.
