Ring Shopping - Old School or Online?

Cliodhna, on December 16, 2019 at 09:05 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 18

Will you and your fiancé(e) shop for your wedding rings online or do you prefer the experience of a brick-and-mortar store?

Do you plan on shopping for your wedding rings old school (in a store) or online?

He did both when he found/bought my set. He went in to all the stores at a bunch of different malls but he couldn't find the design he wanted for me so he went and found it online and the store brought it in for him. When we shopped for his band we did it in person so he could try everything and decide

We will check some stores to see what style and size we are but we will probably order online.

    Old school.

Buying rings is to see what the couple likes and if they want to match. We did choose to go with a simple wedding band of white gold matching each other. This decision was to be made with him as he had to like the ring too and wear it for life.

We're going on-line! We both wanted a tungsten ring, but the selection of those at a lot of the brick and mortar store are limited.

I also was getting frustrated that every salesperson basically kept ignoring any and all things that I answered:

    - They kept bringing out tiny 2mm bands for me when I told them repeatedly I want a thicker band (4mm min, 6mm ideal) because I have broad build and larger hands, so anything under 4mm looks horrible. They'd agreed it looked bad then get out another tiny ring.

    - Told them I don't want gold and it's all they would take out when there were a couple dozen silver choices and a few tungsten ones.

    - Breaking point: The only one that caught my eye was a man's band and even the salesperson said it looked great on me....but refused to sell it to me because it was a man's ring. I just gave up at that point...lol

I think we are going to a local store to design our own rings with their help. Will be heading there early next year

    We did both!

Our everyday rings were purchased at a Michael hill store, but we also have silicone rings from Enso, which were online.

    Both!
He bought my ring at a brick and mortar store, but our wedding bands will be purchased online.

I bought his from Enso on Black Friday, just waiting for it to arrive!

Old school for mine. He had mine custom designed at a brick and mortar independent jeweller.
    I bought his on Etsy.

My FH bought my engagement ring online, but I think we will be looking in stores for our wedding bands. I really want to try out a few different styles and see how they pair with my engagement ring

We just bought ours online last week and they arrived super quickly. Unfortunately mine is too big (which is weird since I knew the size of my engagement ring) so we'll have to exchange it so I'm waiting for my FH to get home from working up north so he can try his before sending it back.

My wedding ring is a set that came with my engagement ring, so easy peasy! For my FH we have looked around online to get ideas, but will ultimately buy it in store

It'll be made by the same place who made my engagement ring - so no need to look online.
