Rent, Borrow, or Buy - Bridesmaids' Attire

Buy but it's second hand.

I've saved up money to purchase and/or help with the bridesmaid dresses (and tux rental as mixed-gender party on my side). If we stay with something simple (which is how me and the gals are kind of leaning), it should be enough to cover their dresses. If they want something more elaborate, they are paying the difference.

My bridal party is buying their own. Ribbon skirts and white shirts and gold shoes. I bought their jewelry

Girls rarely pass on the chance to shop so we bought all our bridesmaids attire new

If we did though, we'd our crew to buy their gear.

Buy. Not a lot of renting options for girls!

Buy. My girls and I decided on styles that they would be able to wear again. They can easily shorten the dress if they want too!

I am not 100% sure yet, for now, I am planning to sewing 4 of my bridesmaid dresses. However, if I finally won't have the time to do it, I will just give them the money and ask them to order.

They will be buying. Just with alterations, I wouldn't feel comfortable renting a dress/borrowing something from someone else.

Buying new! It was just easier I think, to keep the colour I wanted for all of them!

Definitely buying! I can't imagine it working out without being able to tailor/alter. My FH made the grave mistake of suggesting I rent my wedding dress...if looks could kill. He now understands how much of a princess I want to feel like day off

PS - Not stating there is anything wrong with renting the dresses if that is what YOU want I've just always made it very clear that I wanted my ideal dress to keep so he got a mouthful for suggesting otherwise ha ha.

Buying! I like the idea of buying a bridesmaid dress. I bought mine for my sisters wedding and wish I still fit into it because it would be a beautiful dress to wear to another wedding!

No wedding party for us, but I will be buying flowers for my besties/inner circle to wear in their hair if they want.

Buying! If we had perfect bodies then I would say rent - but alterations are VERY much needed for almost all of the girls. When you have a bust of a size 14 dress but a waist of a size 10, you need an alteration so you don't look like you're wearing a bag!

My MOH bought her dress and she already has the accessories she needs, like shoes and jewelry.

I’m buying my sister (MOH) a dress for the wedding! The dress and hair and make up is our gift to her. We just found her dress this weekend and it’s gorgeous!

My bridesmaids bought their dresses- it is tough getting them all together to try dresses on (and one lives out of province) so I picked a dress that only came in two sizes..made it super easy

...it ended up working out so well because none of them could make it they day I went to see/try on/purchase the dresses

My bridesmaids will be buying their dresses too. They're not all local so it's complicated enough to have to get them from different stores.

The bridesmaid dresses will be bought. I’m not really to familiar with any renting options that aren’t online and I’m apprehensive to order dresses online. Plus, both my girls are fairly short so the dresses will need quite a bit of altering likely.
