I don’t want to sit with certain members of my family at a wedding. Could I or should I ask the bride who is marrying my nephew to take care of this

Pick your seat, simply because I almost always get assigned a table and the people I want to hang out with are in another table Smiley tongue

We are going to assign tables. They can choose their seat at the table. I’ve been to a wedding where I would’ve appreciated a seating chart.

We really wanted everyone to be able to pick their own seats because I don't really want to decide where to put everyone. sometimes the more I think of it it might have been nice to do a chart so that you know people aren't stuck sitting with people they don't really know but people will hopefully only be sitting an hour or so for the meal then up dancing the rest of the night!!

Absolutely assigning tables for our guests. I personally feel like when there's no assigned tables, things can get messy very quickly.

We had a seating chart. Tables were assigned but people could sit where they like at that table.

We're doing a seating chart. I want the people who know each other to be able to sit together. And the people who don't to sit with people they have something in common with.

We will be doing a seating chart. Firstly, we're doing long tables, and I don't want one chair left in the middle of a table and having to squeeze someone in their on their own. Secondly, my parents have been divorced for 20 years and their families haven't seen each other at all Really since then, so I will be doing it to avoid any awkwardness.
I love the idea of being able to let everyone sit wherever they want, but I don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable at my wedding.

I’m planning to have a seating chart, but allow guests to sit wherever they want at their assigned table. My fiancé and I personally know most of the guests, but a lot of the guests don’t know each other so this way we can match each of our guests with other couples that we know they will enjoy meeting and have fun spending the evening with.

We are doing a seating chart. I prefer to make sure everything is in order and if people don't like where they are sitting they can switch around.

We're doing a seating chart. We're going to have people sit wherever they want at the table they're assigned to, but they WILL have an assigned table. This is good if you have any family drama, where people shouldn't sit near to eachother. I think not having a seating chart invites complaints and drama that isn't necessary.

It's also good to know what table people are sitting at incase there are guests with dietary restrictions or children's meals that service staff should be aware of. As a bride and former banquet hall server, seating charts REALLY helpful and important.

We will assign tables. I know it will be stressful trying to figure out who to put at the same table, but I think it will be more organized this way. That way families won't be at separate tables.
