Id say we splurged but within reason. I wish we could have splurged more. My top choice for photography was like 2.5 times our photography budget. Couldn't splurged that much. We found a newer photographer we really like and she was only $200 over budget.

Splurge. We are spending more money on the photographer for our elopement than on anything else! To me the photos are the most important, as that's what you and your family will use to remember your Wedding FOREVER.

I would say we saved. Photography was top 3 for us but I think we found a good deal on creative photographers in our area!

We saved. Even though we just wanted 1-1/2 - 2 hours max of photography and we are eloping on a weekday afternoon, some of those elopement packages were ridiculous for price! A lot of elopement packages had way too many hours or included engagement pictures. I finally found a photographer whose work we liked and gave us a great deal for only what we wanted.

Slurge- She was not the most expensive in this area but she was still enough felt like splurged. Well worth it and only memories you have that can look back on visually after that day

Saving. I have a high school friend's little sister who is just starting out as a photographer. Her photos are great so far and she has another year and a half to get even better lol. Her prices were incredible compared to what I was looking for. I at first thought of just doing a 4 hour photographer but she quoted me a price under others for 10 hours... how could I go wrong?

Save, considering the price tags on other photographer's websites/lists.

I would say splurge but honestly, given the other prices we were quoted, I'm sure others will say save! We are having full-day service and both photography & videography. We're having two photographers and two videographers so the splurge is definitely worth it for us!

Splurged. The second shooter for our photographer is an old friend and insanely talented so there was never any question about who we'd choose. But they definitely have a price tag on the higher end.

Saving! My fiancé does not enjoy photographers and we actually found someone who is mutual friends with one of his groomsmen! He only cost us $1800 for 8 hours + the engagement shoot. He was a great guy to work with, especially after our last guy no showed to the engagement photos 🙄

Splurge. My FH and I agree this was definitely an area we both felt strongly about investing in.

This is probably the biggest expense after our estimate on food. We spent $4300 (taxes in) for 2 shooters for 10 hours, engagement photos, and they are also going to do a photobooth (with them providing the backdrops).

Splurge. This will be the most expensive thing for us. It's around $3500 for our photographers for 7 hours (after they gave us a deal).

Another splurge lol! (I feel like this may be my answer to most things)

It was a must-have to have 2 shooters and pro photography

We also splurged on photography. This was also a must for me as these are the photos we will look at for the rest of our lives. We have all day coverage up to 10 hours (I think) for two shooters. It also included our engagement shoot.

Ugh this was our first wedding planning fight. I want to splurge and he wants to save to the point where we just ask his grandfather to do the photos. I always said I wanted them professionally done so I kind of compromised an we will have a cheapish photographer for the ceremony and not keep him for as long,

Splurged! The cost was great for what was offered and unlimited timing given to us and a second photographer at no extra cost.

We are saving! I was willing to splurge because photography is important to me, but a friend of my FFIL has a photography business and he is giving us a fantastic deal.

We splurged, I had to stand my ground on this with FH, but now that we have done our engagement session he sees the value in spending more $$$ for beautiful day of photos!
