Period during wedding

Kaye, on August 22, 2018 at 12:46 Posted in Beauty 0 11
Hey ladies. Im supposed to get my period the day before my wedding. My first two days are always the worst
I dont get bloated but I get considerable back pain and a heavy flow.
I use a menstrual cup and reusable cloth pads. Im nervous to take any pain killers because they make me drowsy. Any tips on getting by with minimal effect to my day?

They have sticky heat pads that last a few hours too (8-10 I believe). I think they may be for back pain but may help. I think the excitement of the day will likely push you through it. I hope so anyway.

Lots of water, greens and cut out most sodium leading up to your period. I notice a big difference in how I feel if I’m hydrated!

A little trick I've used when timing isn't right for plans, drinking a bunch of soy milk the few days leading up to when it's supposed to come can sometimes push it back a day or so or at least make it much lighter. Not sure if this will work for you but it's worked for me in the past.

Take birth control (consult with your doctor) it can change your cycle so you won’t get it. You only take it for a month and then stop.

Take Midol. It helps a lot with cramps and is non drowsy. Or even try non drowsy ginger gravol.

Good luck, it'll be great and you will be so happy and distracted you won't even think about the pain, I'm sure! Your other emotions will overdrive it Smiley smile

Heating pad! I bought one from Shoppers that fits under your clothing. When I get pain, I find heat helps. It takes less than a minute in the microwave and lasts for a couple hours.
