Outdoor Wedding ns June 30th, Thoughts and Feedback

Flip flops or an area where people can leave their shoes?? I have seen this done on Pinterest. We will be looking into it for our after party for those who get tired feet. But it would be cute to have them in your wedding colours just the cheap ones for a 1.00 or so in different sizes if people so choose.

M y cousin had a beach wedding and the wheather was hot for one. Your guests will be sweating as anything. You may want to suggest your guests to bring sunglasses and provide lots pf water.

Second, make sure the set up is solid as the breeze being strong can knock it down easily.

Third, change of outfit will be needed from wedding tp reception.

I am not wearing a veil and wearing my hair up with flowers. But yes if it is a bit windy that would be a concern...

We will probably have a microphone or something available as I think it will be noisy, we are going to have background music for people prior to.

A lot of these suggestions are great! I am having an outdoor ceremony, that while not on sound, is right next to the water. I am personally keeping in mind that it can be a bit windy so it made me think about if I wanted a veil (you see videos of them whipping around sometimes) and if I wanted my hair down or up.

Another thing I think about is sound. The beach can be quite loud with wind, waves, etc. And even at an indoor ceremony if the hall is big enough you need help hearing. So especially if you have a lot of guests, and/or if you have a longer ceremony, I'd consider how your guests will be able to hear the ceremony, readings, and vows. You might need to consider a sound system.

The one thing that comes to mind for me is to be mindful of those who may have mobility issues. Sand (if your ceremony is taking place on the sand) is difficult to navigate for some people. Maybe you could have your programs made as fans, so if it is hot, guests have a nice little fan to keep them cool!

Thanks for the feedback. We are going to remind all to tree the day like they would any other beach day and have their hats glasses and shades if needed. If it is forecasting a warm day we will plan to have water available. We also talked about little fans as well. I am hoping for that as opposed to umbrella's and boots... haha

I'm not having a beach wedding, but I am having an outdoor ceremony. What I am considering is:

1. Shady area for those who don't like being in the sun. (don't think this will happen for the ceremony, but there is a shady space after the ceremony)

2. Bottles of water and sunscreen for the guests. (I had also considered extra hats and sunglasses, but that's not in the budget!)

3. My friend included in her invitations that it was an outdoor ceremony, so I will probably do something like that.
