Outdoor venues

Shannon, on January 23, 2017 at 01:54 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 14
I am having a hard time finding a venue near Kamloops BC that is outdoor without being rustic/country. Has anyone heard of a place that does outdoor ones that are more elegant?

The south Thompson inn is quite beautiful, it overlooks the Thompson River, and there's always wineries - they aren't necessarily country more vinyard-y Smiley smile

    Hey Shannon,

My fiance and I are getting married at the Rainbows Roost out in Westsyde in Kamloops.

You can have your ceremony anywhere on the property or in their hall. But it is beautiful there and the Hall is beautiful. although I am not sure how many people the hall fits.

Couple things with this place though

    1) it is among te cheapest places we looked at

    2) they only use their own caterer.

    3) you either have to do your own set up and tke down or hire someone to do so

    4) must purchase third party liability insurance

    5) they have a cash bar

Yeah! You just call the city to "book" the only thing is you cannot close out the public. But Riverside is a common park for weddings I'm having ours at Albert McGowan and reception at Hall Rogers

Okay I totally didn't read your post thoroughly.. Harper mountain would be your least rustic looking one and you could really use the view to your advantage. Or Riverside park in front of the rose garden

I dont much care whether the reception is inside or outside, but id like it to be in the same location as the ceremony, which absolutely must be outside...

Hi Shannon! I am from Kamloops and I was looking for the same as you there are a few places that have out door spaces. Most of the public parks are usable (with out fee I found out) for an out door ceremony and there are a few community halls that have land as well.. but some other venues are rainbow roost, Grandview acres (it's in knutsford about 25 mins out of town) Harper mountain (also about half hour out of town) those are the few I can think of off the top of my head.. Harper mountain and rainbow roost are the most expensive that I've mentioned ( around the $1100 range) I cannot remember Grandview acres I think is $700. Hope you have a wonderful time planning!

I am unfortunately not familiar with your area- so i can't suggest a certain location Smiley sad

I was looking for a modern outdoor place, without the rustic feeling too, and I found a park in downtown toronto. It has lovely gardens and art structures, near the lake AND has great city scape behind it! If you are near a larger city maybe a public garden or secluded restaurant patio might suit?

Hi Shannon! I'm so happy to hear from you! Smiley heart You can take a look at the vendors in our directory: Wedding Venues Kamloops There are a few who have more of a classic style Smiley smile

I also reached out to a few brides in your area. You should get in touch to exchnage ideas for your wedding:
