Outdoor Ceremony or Outdoor Reception?

Our wedding going to be in April, we’re planning an outdoor ceremony & indoor reception, but the weather here is so finicky we will have a plan B just in case ☺️

We are having an outdoor ceremony under a lovely gazebo and then our reception is indoors. Plan B for everything to be indoors depending on the weather

We were hoping for all outdoors but we're doing outdoor ceremony and indoor reception overlooking the golf course

Most of the entertainment we're doing for the reception wouldn't work with good old Nova Scotia winds....lol.

I am having an outdoor ceremony (with the option of a hall for inclement weather which was provided by our venue) our reception will be in a tent and still provide an outdoorsy feel!

I love outdoor receptions! I'm not a sun person.

We did have an outdoor ceremony which was perfect. Love the sunshine not the heat! It was hard enough to not keep my eyes fully open during the ceremony due to the sun coming down bright.

If my wedding wasn't in February I would love to take advantage of the outdoor patio that is connected to our room. An outdoor ceremony would be perfect there. Freezing our bottoms off just isn't in the cards though lol

If I had to choose, I would prefer outdoor ceremony. I don't know how I'd feel about eating outside and being outside for hours LMAO

We are having an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception inside a transparent tent! Best of both worlds. Hoping for a great autumn weather next year

Outdoor reception!!

We are having an outdoor ceremony! The rooftop terrace at C Hotel by Carmen's! The reception is in the adjoining banquet hall! We are thrilled with our choice and being our wedding is at the beginning of October, it shouldn't be too hot or too cold!

Ceremony for sure!! Our ceremony space has lots of live plants and a retractable glass roof so it could be "outdoors" if the weather is good lol

Ceremony. Although it started raining so half the ceremony was performed indoors!

Both. Our ceremony is in the park and our reception is in the gazebo in the same park.

I've been to an outdoor reception and it wasn't the greatest : The rain, the heat, humidity and BUGS. I left with so many mosquito/horse fly bites...all the way up my skirt!!!

We're having an outdoor ceremony! We didn't really want an outdoor reception because even with a tent it can be very dependent on the weather (cold if it's cold outside, hot/muggy if it's hot outside), whereas the ceremony is only for a short amount of time so it isn't so bad.

We’re having an outdoor ceremony, but I honestly wish we could have done both. Finding an affordable venue for an outdoor reception is insane and it didn’t work out 🙁

Indoor! We definitely did not want an outdoor ceremony, weather is way too unpredictable. Good thing too because we had a massive thunderstorm right as our ceremony ended and rained the whole ceremony.

Outdoor ceremony, especially for us in the winter since we wouldn't want our guests out in the cold for the whole reception. Even for warmer weather outdoor ceremony is better I think, less time that you have to worry about the weather and mosquitos and all that jazz.

We are having an outdoor ceremony and inside reception. If I was getting married in the midst of summer, I would do outside for all.

We are having an outdoor ceremony. Technically our reception is also outdoors, but it’s a covered atrium.

Outdoor ceremony. We are not only having an outdoor ceremony, but a ceremony only takes 10-15 minutes so if it's too hot people could go in AC for reception and if it's too cold then they can go inside for the warmth! Very limited times where it makes sense to be outside for the reception.

Outdoor ceremony! That's the goal and, as much as I know it doesn't reeeally matter, I know I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't happen.
