Ordering online vs in store

Kayley, on August 11, 2017 at 00:32 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 7
Just curious how many of you lovely brides have ordered a dress online vs purchased in a store? I found a beautiful dress online but am nervous to take the plunge and order!

I bought my dress in store. I would be worried to order online and the dress is nothing like I thought it would be. I also enjoyed the fun of trying on different dresses!

Thanks ladies! I haven't done any in-store try-on's yet. I think I will plan to do some of those to get a feel for the process. The online store is overseas but the return policy (and price) is decent - I may just order it to just try it on. Wish me luck! Smiley tongue

I was looking at buying on line too. I wanted to try on dresses to see what styles I should be looking at before I took the plunge on line. I was in a small store on Mothers day and the sales woman offered me a 40% discount on a beautiful dress that I absolutely love off of the rack. Done! Now I have to wait for almost a year before I get to do the alterations.....

I just heard yesterday about Alfred Angelo going bankrupt and leaving a bunch of brides in the lurch. Those poor girls must be freaking out.

I was planning on buying online but ended up purchasing from a store. I went into a bridal shop to try on some dresses; see how the different styles fit and what I liked. I ended up finding a dress I liked and fit perfectly! The shop owner offered it to me for $225 so I couldn't refuse and walked out with it in hand. Smiley smile

I did order a wedding dress online and it came out beautiful, good quality and it was exactly like the picture BUT I did not like how it looked on me. That's the downside of buying online, you never know how it'll look on you. I ended up buying another dress in-store. I suggest buying from an actual store to see how it would look on you.

I really appreciated my store visits - I got to check the quality of each dress, I got to see how each dress looked on my body shape and with my coloring, I got suggestions of dresses I would not have considered otherwise, and I felt confident once I chose a dress that I was getting something worth the price. Online ordering can save money, but it can also be a big risk that you won't get something quality, or you won't love how it looks on your body as much as you loved the look from pictures.

Where are you considering ordering from? Can we see the pic?

I went in store as it was more interactive and visual. I find a lot of things I like the look of in pictures, do not really look good on me so I needed to try things on. I would say that if they have a decent return policy then you might want to try it if you really love it.
