    Hi!

I agree with Emma that you want laid back/soft music for dinner to not compete with conversation.

DJ can help if you have one with the reception music. If you are like me and skipping the DJ in favor of your own playlist, I will share all that I have on my list so far. Just started so it is not that long, but, if anything strikes your fancy or helps the brainstorming wheels, great! :-)

In addition to the list below, I would recommend checking out The Piano Guy for instrumental versions of their covers or Cadence (Toronto based A Cappela Group).

Paradise - Cold Play (Piano Guys did a version of this in an African Language - not sure which one - called Peponi. Definitely worth considering or giving a listen)

I Just Called to Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder

Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers

    Your Song - Elton John

Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen

I Want to Hold Your Hand - The Beatles

    Amazed - Lone Star

    Love Story - Taylor Swift

A Thousand Years - Christina Perri

    You and I - Garou

I Won’t Give Up - Jason Mraz (Jake Coco Cover is amazing too)

    Divinity - Jake Coco

    My Wish - Rascal Flatts

    Sugar - Maroon 5

Truly Mady Deeply - Savage Garden

You Raise by Up - Josh Grobin

    Brown-eyed Girl - Van Morrison

    ABC - Jackson 5

    Happy - Pharrell Williams

    Beautiful Day - U2

I Still Believe - Hayden Panettiere

Can You Feel the Love Tonight - Elton John

    Tiny Dancer - Elton John

Accidentally in Love - The Counting Crows

Wouldn’t it be Nice - Beach Boys

    Firework - Katie Perri

Don’t Go Breaking my Heart - Elton John

    Blessed - Elton John

    Kiss Goodnight - Lady Antebellum

Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts

    Marry Me - Train

    Secrets - One Republic

The Way You Love Me - Faith Hill

    Footloose - Kevin Loggins

I’m Still Standing - Elton John

    Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO

Moves like Jagger - Maroon 5 (I personally prefer the cover by Savannah Outen and Peter Hollens

Pump it - Black Eyed Peas

I want to Dance with Somebody - Whitney Houston

    Single Ladies - Beyonce

    Dancing Queen - Abba

YMCA - Village People (everyone knows the dance to this one, so great to get anyone hesitatant to dance to the dance floor)

Girls Just Want to have fun – Cyndi Lauper

I got a Feeling - Black Eyed Peas

Save the Last Dance for Me - Micheal Buble

Do you have a DJ? If so they can help you with this.

For during dinner you could do instrumental versions of some of your favourite songs, some jazz music or something similar. For dinner you just want something soft and in the background that won’t compete with people talking.

Not sure what you mean by ceremony? Do you mean to walk down the aisle to or signing the papers? Or do you mean before? If you mean before the cermemony instrumental music works well.
