My dress has finally arrived!!

After ordering my dress almost a year ago, it finally arrived and I was able to pick it up this weekend!! I was EXTREMELY nervous about trying it on as I had gained quite a bit of weight since I ordered it and in the last few months had been trying to lose the weight I had gained. I was successful in losing the weight, thank goodness and now my dress is a little too big (that is what I had hoped for)! I plan on having some minor alterations done, but I was so excited that I wanted to share with everyone!!

They didn't do up all of the buttons at the back, but you get the idea Smiley smile

    Haha fair enough, I am thankful there the beading is very soft on this dress. I am sure a mermaid style can still be comfortable, I guess it is all about how the dress fits you personally.

    It was a toss up for me because I tried on a dress like this. I loved it and it was more comfortable then I ever thought a wedding dress should be lol. (So that’s why I brought up the comfort thing haha) BUT the dress I tried on had silver stitching and beading that scratched my arms right away. So I went with a mermaid style. I’m still very hesitant about how uncomfortable I’ll be throughout the day. It makes me nervous. To late now, it’s hanging in the closet lol. Yours is beautiful!

    Thank you!! I am a big fan of the illusion neckline as well! I knew I didn't want to be one of those brides that is always pulling up their dress, afraid that something might slip...I feel like this will definitely help with that.

    Thank you!! I was a big fan of the buttons when I first found the dress!! It's funny you say comfortable, because that was kind of what I was going for. I have had friends not be able to move in their dresses, and that's not fun!

    So exciting!! I think waiting for my dress to come in has been the most anxious I have been about anything! I hope it is worth the wait as it was for me!

    I did not know it would take that long when I started shopping, it wasn't until I went to pay for my dress that they told me it would take that long. And thank you!! The weight loss part is definitely not fun or easy to do, especially during the summer months and now I am conflicted because I am not at my goal weight, but my dress is already too big. I have my first fitting next week, so i am going to ask my seamstress her opinion! Good luck with yours!!
