Hey ladies, as we know wedding planning is super stressful. What are some things you request your MOH do to help lighten the load?

MOHs are your assistant in a way that help to put the event together while your planning the ceremony and reception. Events beforehand with their help can be part of the bachelorette/stag, bridal and shower if doing any. Giving them tasks to arrange or take care of the can help so you do what is needed for preparation of getting ready and being there. Games and prizes can be part of the preparation. They are the right hand to you as you are the bride.

I had my MOH plan the bridal shower with my mom. Took that off my plate. Also, the bachelorette is planned by the MOH and the bridesmaids exclusively. I have taken on the rest myself.

I’m doing everything except the bachelorette is 100% in my MOH and bridesmaid’s hands.
I’ve asked for a little help with decor but that’s about it. I am just happy to do it myself and feel like I’m inconveniencing them if I ask for help (my MOH is unenthusiastic as it is..)

I am also in the camp of its easier to do myself. I am just super hands on and organized and been slowly working away at everything for the last year anyway. I know closer to I am going to need more help with the DIY stuff, but my FH is keen to help as is my mom (she is super crafty!) My MOH is really just my best support system! She is there for me emotionally and keeping me chill. She is also going to be my day of contact and the first line of defense if anything goes wrong so I am hopefully kept out of it ha ha.

When I was her MOH, I did help with the invites (creating mailing labels and stuffing) and then was her person on the day of as well. Anything you can think to have help is good!

I'm on the same page as Tori - I'm the type of person who would just rather do things myself rather than have other people doing it.

My MOH (sister) is planning my bachelorette though and helping with the bridal shower when I need it.

I am planning from out of province. Luckily I got most of the big stuff out of the way before leaving but I’m definitely going to need my MOH to go to some consults for me because I can’t afford to fly back for every little thing.

My MOH has helped me with things like invitations and such. She is also planning the bridal shower and the bachelorette party. My MOH is also my daughter so one of my bridesmaids is helping her with everything to help lighten the load and make it easier.

Oh it for sure is - but I would also say that having a Wedding Social is 10X worse than putting a wedding together. Worth it to have one, but I never want to organize another one!

I honestly find it stressful having a bridal party 😂 sometimes I feel it’s more work for the bride then anything

To be honest for me it was more stressful to put things in other people's hands... so I did most if not all of the work... But my Mom and MOH/Sister did plan the Bridal/Wedding Shower? But that's the one thing that I knew was supposed to fall on the Mom's and MOH.
