Lynnie, on February 26, 2018 at 11:00 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 28

This week we're asking all about your decor choices, and whether you're into a more matching uniform look or if you're injecting some flair and personality by mixing it up!

What about your save the dates and invitations? Are you going for a cohesive stationery look from start to finish? Or having more fun with the save the dates?

I actually went sort-of matching here, but only because my love of letterpress and gold details makes everything I touched pretty matching! Smiley tongue

My save the date is in the top right corner! Smiley heart

We didn’t do a save the date. Just one invitation. And our thank you cards won’t match.

Definitely mix and match! I am doing these all myself and our save the dates are all on library return cards typed on an antique typewriter. The invitations will be stamped and heat embossed. Haven’t decided if I’m going to try to tie them together in any way yet, but I’m happy with everything so far!

Not planning on doing save the dates, just the invites. If I change my mind I'll probably find something similar to our invites.

We weren’t going to send out save the dates, but decided to in the end and ordered some front Vistaprint that kind of fit our general theme.
One of my best friends is designing out invites and they’ll have the same colour scheme as the everything else, but won’t be exactly the same Smiley smile

We kept some similar colours but the save the date was definitely different than the invites. Our save the dates are very bright and an image of us from our engagement shoot.

Our invitation suit is very classic simple and vintage looking with cremes and browns.

We mixed it up. Our save the dates were a black and white template from the internet and our invitations reflected more the actual vibe of the wedding. Our thank you cards match our invitations.

I was seriously considering mixed... We have a rustic/wood beam/twinkle lights venue, and my main colour is navy, so I found a wood-look invite with lights, along with a navy details card with lights as well... however my mother said it looked bad to have them not match...

We are not doing save the dates. If I was, because they are arriving on their own, I would totally do something different. I liked the photo fridge magnets.

My wedding suite does not include RSVP cards, so I will have to do a mix and match for them.

Mixed - although same colour palette. I did both on vistaprint and stuck with the blue theme. I also pulled a screen grab from our invites and used it for our website on here (just a big blue inkblot with our initials that was on the back of the invites) to tie everything together as guests will be rsvping through the site.

Mixed. Our save the dates were very grey and blue and modern. Our invitations will be black and cream with a swirly gatefold and gold accents.

We mixed it up. Save the dates were different from invitations but everyone is receiving the same look for both.
