Who are you going with Kaytee? I'm really struggling with this ! Prices are very similar but I don't seem to like anyone's work. The one place I liked is already mostly booked for 2018.

Fully agree. I understand it is the "biggest" day of your life but... still have a life to live after the fact lol. I find as soon as you put the word wedding in anything everyone add's another zero to price.

I know! I just got over how expensive photographers were! Then I got thrown the prices of my hair and makeup for the day. Trying to convince my friend to follow us to our destination to do my stuff instead. Why are weddings so expensive? I guess id prefer not going in debt for one day.

Happen to know if any of them work with a hair stylist too? I'm collecting quotes and would love a recommendation!

Hi, I'm from the same area and I have two friends that are make-up artists that you can check out; although I'm not sure what their pricing is. 1) Janine Lachance - owner and makeup artist for BeautyMark productions inc.2) Tamara Auger - makeup artist at TrenaLaine makeup artist. I'm pretty sure both of these companies have Facebook pages you can reach, either or both the girls have their info on Facebook, are extremely nice and I'm sure would give you informtation! There are lots of different makeup artists trying to promote themselves on the internet such as Facebook and Instagram. There is also a wedding show thing coming up at westerner that would have all that information.

I was shocked at the price for hair and makeup but I understand what they also put into it I was able to find a lady who works as a receptionist at a salon by me that does it on the side with her gf so I am able to save this way! Worth a shot at asking around if anyone is going to school for it also that maybe able to assist

Make up artists and hair artists are way more than I thought they would be. I found a really great girl so I am excited about that.

Hi Lisa-Marie! I'm not in your area either but I had similiar pricing issues when researching makeup vendors. The company I ended up going with had a senior makeup artist who was cheaper than the owner of the company so you could check to see if they do something like that. Also, I've heard that beauty schools also do wedding makeup for discounted prices to allow their students to practice. Good luck!

I unfortunately am not familiar with your area but I found my hair and makeup artist through a local bridal show and got a great deal! Hopefully you can find one near you... it's the perfect time of year for bridal shows too
