I had gone to about 16 dress appointments by the time my friends dragged me to a sample sale (I'm plus sized so figured they wouldn't have much for me). My consultant brought out this dress from the back that they had forgotten to put on the floor and mark down because she was sure it would be perfect for me - it had everything I told her I didn't want (white, handkerchief hem, beaded, strapless) but it was perfect. And, bonus, needs almost no alterations.

View quoted message I don’t mind at all! $1,200. I got the belt half off, so that was $200. So just over $1400 with taxes. I still need the veil. I got it from Bridal Debut (Edmonton) but I’m sure there is a store around you that has the brand! Of course I’ve never even been to Oakville (let alone Ontario) haha. But it’s a well known brand, so they are definitely out there!

My Dress

After a DIY disaster I bought this sample dress, they brought it in 2 sizes, dry cleaned it and I'll be trying it on this Wednesday. So nervous and excited. Only 12 days until the wedding.

I knew I wanted a Maggie Sottero and ended up falling in love with this one! It was a lot less then I thought I would spend, which was a huge bonus too! We have a small bridal boutique here that has all Maggie Sottero lines (Maggie Sottero, Sottero and Midgley and Rebecca Ingram) so i immediately wanted to go to that store. I did try other brands that I loved there too! Don’t get me wrong lol.

Here's mine, I have the weirdest look on my face though lol Probably because I squeezed myself into a sample that was 4 sizes too small but I still love it and can't wait for my dress to come in!
