Hello everyone! You've arrived at the last question and the end of the wedding night Smiley heart

So...

Will you be carried or carrying your spouse over the threshold? Or are you skipping this tradition?

This tradition began in medieval Europe, with the groom carrying the bride into their new home to avoid bringing evil spirits in! Apparently a bride is extra vulnerable to evil spirits through the soles of her feet Smiley surprise

Most likely skipping. But you never know. We're going to a hotel though, not our home.

We didn't do this at the time of our wedding since we were just staying at a hotel (and by that point in the night I was so tired I was literally weeping from exhaustion!) but when we bought our first house we made very sure he did carry me across the threshold the first time we entered Smiley love

Skip. It won't work for where we are staying.

Maybe, sounds like a funny moment together. We've lived together for 4 years but we love fun goofy moments together like this

Skipping for sure. We have lived together for several years now, around 5.5 years, and so don't see the need for this one.

We will keep this tradition as long as my FH is in good health( He has kidney stones and might need surgery close to our wedding).

I want to keep this just for the fun of it but realistically we'll probably stumble into the room and knock out of pure exhaustion haha

No. We have lived together for over 3 years, this is a weird tradition for us, especially because we're both clumsy and i can see this leading to concussion.

The night of the wedding we'll likely be in a hotel for the night so I'm not sure if it would count for the tradition or not. I mean if he wants to I guess it's fine; I've never really been carried before lol

I'm indifferent. If he wants to that's fine but otherwise I think we'll both be too tired to care lol

I'm a plus size bride so maybe he could lift me up for like 20 seconds 2 inches above the ground to make it across the doorway lol but that's about it haha. He's strong but not Superman haha. So skipping unless I can loose that much weight lol

For sure we'll be skipping this one. My fiance is 59 years old and I'm a plus size bride. I'd like to keep him around for a while.
