Hi ladies,
My fiancé and I are getting married on July 31st 2020 and I’ve been considering postponing our date until September. I know that we still have four months left but I’m getting a little worried. Just wanted to know if anything else is getting married around that time and what you were doing ?

    Hi there,

We are getting married on July 31, 2020 as well and this has been on our minds quite a bit. We have been talking about it a lot however we are going to wait until the end of April to make a decision. We were actually good with the 50 people max gathering size however now that they have cut that down to 15 in Alberta we worry a bit more. So far we are trying to keep optimistic but we do feel the reality of this situation.

Hey! We are booked for July 25th. We've decided to wait and make a decision in May if we'll postpone or not. But since you're eyeing a September date, and if it's available, I'd probably consider changing it now to avoid disappointment. For us, if we postpone, we're ok with waiting until 2021 or even switching our venue. We just received our invitations and are sending them out as planned. We can only hope for the best! If we need to postpone or change dates, we will send out an update (See below for ideas). As for the shower, It was booked for May 3rd - we have pushed it back to June. If June is not possible, many of our guests are on board with an after wedding shower. Kinda unorthodox, but we have to roll with it! Best of luck to everyone and let's hope in a few months we have good news!

We’re July 18 and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that people get with the program and stay home for the next few months so we can all stay safe!

Right now we have no intention of changing because we aren’t in a position to postpone - we’d be cancelling altogether.

My wedding is July 25. We were planning to do it small and simple to begin with. It's just being held at my church, so we have no issues with a venue and date or anything. This flexibility is such a relief, s for right now, I'm seeing how things are day by day. We haven't sent out invites, so I will wait until probably end of May or so to see how things are and if we are limited for numbers. We still want to go ahead with our wedding, and if things are still bad, maybe just have a reception at some point later (which again, was just going to be in the church basement, so yay for flexibility!). Bridal shower date hadn't been set yet either so we again will just wait and see. I guess worst case scenario, we could do a virtual shower online. I just want the 5 person limit to be lifted by the wedding so at least our close family can all be there! The unknowns of each day and not being able to plan, and all around enjoy the experience in the way most brides would get to, is just so frustrating.

We’re Aug.8... we are waiting till June to make a final decision. My best advice if you are going to move it though is to move it past Sept just in case. That’s just my two cents. If we end up having to move it we’re moving it to next year
