Is wearing a hair piece and a veil too much?

Leanne, on April 9, 2018 at 11:36 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 13

I didnt think I wanted to wear a veil on my wedding day, until I found my dress and they put a veil on me and I fell in love. I want to wear my hair side-swept, would it be too much to wear a veil and a hair piece?

I don't think so. You'll wear the veil for the ceremony and some pictures and then most likely take it off so the hair piece will add some glitz to your non-veil look.

I don't think so, because your not always wearing a veil it usually comes off after the photos and ceremony! this will keep something special in your hair still

That would not be too much at all. In fact, I wore a veil and didn't think to also have a hair piece and I regretted it, I thought my hair without the veil looked a little too simple and I wish I had had something else to pop in there once the veil was off

I say you do what makes you happy.
im going hairclip only, as i don't see the point in wearing a veil (i think it's incredibly passé and not needed "to complete the look")

Typically the veil comes off after the ceremony, So I would say you could do both!

I think you can do both! My friend did a veil and a tiara. Most brides end up taking the veil off during the reception, so if you do as well, you will still have the hair piece!

I am doing both. After the ceremony and pictures my veil is coming off so then I'll still have something nice in my hair.

I'm doing both. My veil will cover the hair piece but then when the veil comes off the hair piece will be visible.

Thank I think that's perfect to do both! Still keep a little detail and sparkle in your hairdo for the party too! : )

Thanks Stephanie! I was also thinking of wearing the veil just for the ceremony.

Not at all! This is what I will be doing too!

The veil is typically only used during the ceremony and then the hairpiece will be kept on the entire day!

Even if you keep the veil on for the reception too I don't think having both is too much at all! Many brides do tiaras/veils and those still look classy and amazing and a tiara is more bling than a hairpiece!
