Is a wedding party necessary?

Jennifer, on January 5, 2018 at 11:08 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 8
My fiance and I have a very small budget and equally as small family. We only want to invite close family and a couple of friends and spend money on quality instead of quantity. We are having a backyard super casual get together with a total of roughly 30 people. Neither of us have many close friends so my question is, do we have to have a wedding party? The only person id want standing next to me would be my sister but my fiance cant pick anyone.

I considered not having anyone but my fiance really wanted him best friends with him. It's all person preference if you ask me. I see no problem with no wedding party at all.

It's not necessary to have a wedding party. Simple is better.

Me and my FH decided against having one. It’s absolutely not necessary and comes down to personal choice! For us we didn’t want to deal with all the stress and drama that often comes with having a wedding party. We’re doing a small ceremony as well so we figured anyone invited to the ceremony will feel special Smiley smile.

I don't think it is necessary at all. You guys can totally fly solo. The only thing you will need is 2 witnesses to sign the official documents but that can be anybody at the wedding.

You don't need a bridal party at all. Just a witness to sign the registry, but that can be anyone that attends. A bridal party is nice to have to help out, but again, other people can pitch in to help with any DIY projects, invitations, set-up, clean-up, etc.
