How much time are you taking off work for your wedding (and honeymoon)?

Lynnie, on April 26, 2018 at 17:38 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 25

How much time are you taking off work for your wedding and honeymoon?? Are you working right up until the day before your wedding, or taking some pre-wedding time off?

Pre wedding time off for sure! Our wedding is the Friday AFTER the long weekend so really ibalreafy need the Friday off, and with the Monday off already I don't see a point of going in that week haha! Honeymoon won't be till next fall and will likely do a week for that too!

Ideally, we'll have a week before hand (since we have to travel back to Southern Ontario) and two weeks after for the honeymoon!

Our wedding is on a Saturday, so we'll be taking Wednesday to Monday-Tuesday off for that. As for the wedding, I'm hoping we can take about 10+ days off.

We're taking the day before, and then the two weeks after, one for the honeymoon and one to just get installed and get used to living together.

Im done working this summer on aug. 3, and returning back August 27.

My FH will likely return to work when his Summer vacation is done.

honeymoon time for us will likely wait till December when we're both on Winter Break.

I was off 1 week for the wedding (Wednesday to Wednesday and the wedding was the Saturday). We got married 3 hours from where we live so we needed a few days before to set things up. We waited almost 6 months to go on our honeymoon. We were away for 2 weeks.

I plan to take off a week beforehand and 3 weeks afterwards - 4 weeks total.

Like two-three on either side. Not a huge number as we’re not going on our honeymoon until next year

Well I wasn’t thinking about taking time off the day before the wedding. I guess it will depend if I’m stuck with last minute things that need getting done. If not then I’ll work the Friday.

I'm taking the day off before the wedding (Friday), getting married on the Saturday and taking the Monday/Tuesday off so we can have a little time just to ourselves.

We'll be taking 3 weeks off in the fall to go to Indonesia.

Um... I really haven’t thought about this yet. We own our own business though, so it’s not like we have to run it by anyone or request time off. But I guess I should really start figuring out which days we won’t be going to work. Haha

We are taking off 17 days (actually 12 working days) for the honeymoon. No days off for the wedding because it's on a Saturday.

I'm taking 2.5 weeks off. A week before the wedding and the rest after.

Its a bit scary, for me, as I'm self employed so no income for that long has me a bit nervous. BUT I did plan for it so really I shouldn't be worries, but tell my brain that at night haha

About 10 days for each the wedding and the honeymoon so 20 days. We get to set the tent up 3 days before the wedding and then take it down 2 days after so I wanted to have some days off before and after the wedding. We also have to to drive to the city (Edmonton) for some things before and after so this makes it easier on us.

I’m a student, so my semester ended, and I’ve been waiting to get a job until after the wedding (May 20), so technically over a month.

I am taking off the Friday before my wedding for set up at our hall. I need to keep busy in the week leading up to the wedding, so I'm not taking it off. I'll have plenty of time in the evenings to be ready to go early Friday morning with set up!

I then am taking the next 3 weeks off for a mini-moon in the mountains (4 days) followed by 2 weeks in Mexico with our friends to celebrate.

My wedding is on a Saturday, we leave for our honeymoon the next day (Sunday), cruise from Monday to the following Friday... I will be taking the 2 days off before the wedding... so I'll be gone from work 2.5 weeks, but taking 12 vacation days. Omg, it will be the longest time I've had off in almost 8 years (only graduated highschool about that long ago)....

We will probably take two weeks max. We live in BC and the wedding, as well as ALL of our family and friends are in Ontario. So we will use the time to not only prepare for the wedding, get married but also to have family time.

I never thought about taking time off before the wedding! Oops... I better at least take a few days off before. We are taking 2 days off after the wedding. Our honeymoon will be almost 3 weeks but we aren’t going on it until about 5 months after the wedding

We are both taking a full week off before the wedding and 2 days after to get all our last minute stuff done and spend time with family from out of town Smiley smile

We also will be taking 2 months off in the fall to go backpacking for our honeymoon Smiley smile

So lots of time off for us!
