How much did you plan before the proposal?

I had a pinterest board for a while but that's about it. I waited for the proposal but made a point of not doing any actual planning.

I had several Pinterest boards full of inspiration, but that was the extent to how much I had planned.

We booked our venue before we were engaged. That was all the planning I allowed myself because I didn’t want to get too wrapped up in the wedding before we were engaged!

I would say technically I planned nothing... because I went with something new/different for just about everything by the time I legitimately planned anything... However I've been planning "versions" of my future wedding for YEARS. Like... high school... So... Yeah. Haha.

I had a pinterest! Just some ideas and things I liked and saved and showed to him! Also I showed him the style of rings I have always liked so he picked me out the perfect one haha!

None, nothing at all. We had talked about getting married but I was SHOCKED when he proposed.

Oh I had, and still use, the secret boards on Pinterest to save ideas that I liked. I had ideas on decoration/themes and dresses.

My FH asked me to send him pictures of the style of rings I liked, so for about 1 year I'd send him 1 picture per month of a ring that I liked and fit in his budget! So I got one of the two styles I liked and was surprised with the one he picked!

Nothing at all. I had brought up marriage only once, despite knowing pretty much from date #1 that he was my future husband, but he wasn't receptive at all, so I ASSUMED I'd be waiting at least another year or two, but that planning would jinx it all.

And then he proposed 3 weeks after that conversation

For sure had a Pinterest board full of ideas. Of course that got narrowed down once we actually got engaged.
Plus every time we were at the mall we would go into jewelry stores and I would point out rings!

I had a few different colour palettes/themes for different times of the year/destinations. I had researched a few different venues where we live, closer to our family, and even cruise weddings.

When we got engaged, my FH asked if I had anything planned out and pulled out my pinterest board, he was a bit surprised but also not at the same time.

YUP! I absolutely had everything planned.. my FH and I talked about everything before he proposed (I would always bring it up haha) we were both on the same page about everything so his proposal was not a huge surprise although the day of I had no idea. we went together and picked out my ring, and I had already gone dress shopping before as well (Now i realize maybe i should have waited for that as it took away from the experience of being newly engaged and looking plus the lady who was helping me was very judgy when I told her we were not yet engaged but I knew it was coming) however I didn't purchase my dress until after we got engaged and then it finally felt real

I knew my colours, I knew who would be my bridesmaids, I knew the basics of where we would want to get married. I definitely had a full pinterest board with tons of inspiration! I also picked out my own engagement ring and wedding band before we got engaged!

We had looked at venues and actually booked one about two months prior, so we didn’t lose our date. We looked at photographers as well! So I guess I had already planned a bit 😂

NOTHING!!!! i felt it would jinx myself from getting engaged.

the only thing i ever talked about was what i liked in a ring. or if we were at a wedding "i would do this...i wouldn't do that. oh i like that" etc.

For sure I had a Pinterest board! I have had one for my wedding since I was in grade 7/8 in 2010/2011!

Technically I have had a note on my phone for a wedding since I was in grade 5/6 when I first got a cell phone - I have been dreaming about my wedding for basically my entire life as far as I can remember!

I definitely had Pinterest boards titled Dreams for the future with Wedding ideas. I also had a secret engagement ring board. I thought about getting engaged a lot during the 6 1/2 Years before our engagement.
