How many inserts are going in your invitations?

Joey, on December 7, 2017 at 08:05 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 13

Wedding invitations can get very complex, very fast. Of course there is figuring out the design, then the wording, then the etiquette that drives addressing envelopes, and of course when invitations should be sent out. Here's one more thing to think about - how many inserts are going into your invitations? There's of course the main invitation. What about an RSVP card? If you include that you'll also probably want to include a stamped and addressed envelope for the RSVP card. Do you need a separate reception card? A details card? A menu card? Directions and accommodations cards? Eek!

Everyone has their point of view. I ordered two cards only from Vistaprint. One has the wedding and reception info along with websites of the venue, facebook and other sites there are. The other had the RVSP and ACCOMODATION so the they were aware along with room pricing. My guests replied by email to save that much time.

We are just doing invitations, the invitation will contain my email and the wedding website for them to rsvp at. Might as well save some paper and do it all on one Smiley smile

Whoops didn’t finish replying there. I would love for my invitations to be elaborate and grande but the cost associated for that seems silly.l to me personally. But at the same time if I try and DIY it, they probably will not be aesthetically pleasing. So not sure yet!

I think we will only be doing invitations. We are still debating on whether we will ask our guests to rsvp online or via mail. We will have buffet style menu, so we do not think it will be necessary to print it, and we will put the accommodation info on the website.

We are doing online invitations and they will RSVP either through that e-mail or on our website. All of our guests have computers so we opted to save some money and do them online. We will have info on the venue, where to stay, where we're registered etc on the website so the invite will really just have the basic info on it.

I’m debating between doing an insert RSVP card or directing our guest to RSVP online. Aside from the invite, that’s all we’d be including in with our invitations. There are to be no menu cards (we will add it with the RSVP). And with technology nowadays, no use for a directions card.

We will be inserting the RSVP cards, info about the wedding itself, invitation (obvs), and a card for our honeymoon registry giving out out registry information.
