How long between your RSVP deadline and your wedding day?

Joey, on November 29, 2018 at 08:05 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 11

As soon as you drop your invitations in the mail, RSVP anticipation time begins! You'll be rushing to the mailbox every day to see who has replied, who declined, who said yes, who tried to sneak in an extra plus 1, and who forgot to write their name on the RSVP card!

When is your RSVP deadline? How many days are there between your RSVP deadline and your wedding day?

6 months prior and still had declines coming in ahead of time of notification.

2 months. Our venue needed numbers one month before, so it gave us a month to chase down people who didn't reply.

We're doing 2 batches, and the first one will be sent out June 2019 (4 months before). We're hoping to have most of those RVSPs in by 3 months before so we can send the B-list round at 2 months in and get RVSPs 1 month before the big day. Catering needs to know numbers 2 weeks out.

WE set our deadline a month out. It’s actually today lol. OMG my wedding is in a month!!

since our wedding is right after Christmas our venue asked if we could have final numbers in 2 weeks before.

A month before gave us 2 weeks to follow up if needed.

19 days. New Years Eve (Dec 31) is the deadline, wedding on January 19th. Our venue needs our final numbers 3 days out, so it gives me 2 full weeks to track down missing RSVPs.

Our overseas guest have already gotten a save the date in June and they're getting the official invites around Christmas. For now they're "supposed to RSVP by" date is May 1st, but FH mentioned he might wanted it a bit earlier even. We're having them RSVP on time because when we know that they won't make it we can invite more people from overhere and we'd still need some heads up for that too

Our wedding is May 4. I'm mailing out our invitations around January 15. I expect people will receive them in the last week of January sometime.

RSVP deadline will be March 23 - this gives folks 6-7 weeks to RSVP from when I expect they'll receive them. We'll make calls from March 24-30 for any stragglers.

That means we then have a month to invite other people, if they were on our wedding crasher list but we now have dinner room available!

We will be sending out our first batch of invitations at the 6 month mark and requesting that they let us know by the 4 month mark - that way based on the amount of no's we get we can send out our second batch and request that those guests let us know by the 2 month mark. So excited but that also means that I need to get addresses in a quick manner at the 4 month mark!
