How long before the wedding did you send Save The Dates?

Save the dates was skipped since it was an unnecessary expense.

My bridal shower was quite early (5 months out from the wedding)... so my mom figured some Save the Dates should be sent out before the bridal shower invites went out... so we did them in July. I just used Photoshop to create a JPG and sent it by e-mail, text or FB messenger to everyone. It wasn't formal... just to give everyone the date for sure, so they knew if they were going to get an invite later.

To be honest I didn't know "what save the dates were" before. So I ended up just sending out the full wedding invitations.

I would suggest sending them out about a year in advance.

We sent them about 9 months to 10 months before the wedding.

We're gonna send them about a year before our wedding date, but only to the people that are in the Netherlands. They got to travel far and it's also a summer wedding so most wanna build their vacation plans around it and it's way cheaper to get your tickets early

We won't be doing them. Since we have a long time all of our friends and family know.

Didn't send any out but made a FB group about 10 months prior

Our wedding is fairly intimate. So instead of sending save the dates, we just informed each of them insividually, approximately 7-8 months before the wedding day, or the moment we booked the venue.

We will be sending out save the dates in April for our January 2019 wedding. As our date is on the tail end of the holiday season, I want to make sure as many people as possible are able to attend!

We sent them out this January we don’t get married till 2019. But because a lot of our family lives out of country we wanted them to be able to save up money for the wedding.

We sent save the dates out by mail 9 months brfore the wedding. 90% of ny guests are out of town and its on a long week end so i wanted to give lots of notice.

Planning to send them this upcoming May which would be 15 months before the wedding. We want to send them early due to lots of out of town guests on my fiancé’s side.

We sent them over facebook about a year in advance since we were having a long weekend wedding.

We sent our Save the Dates by email in early February. Getting married in October so 8 months in advance.

We won't be sending save the dates, since only a handful of our guests are coming from out of town and we live in the same town as them. We've updated them already! Our parents have already updated everybody else on our wedding date anyway haha.

We are getting married in may and we sent them in december.

We just sent out the save the dates between February 20-27th and we are getting married August 18th - so around 6 months in advance. We plan on sending out invites around the beginning of May if I can wait that long (I already have them and LOVE them).

We chose to send out Save-the-dates due to the busy time of year and also because we are having an adults only wedding so wanted to give parents notice to make arrangements.

I put our website on the Save-the-Dates so people can start checking out the details (I made sure to have our website up an running in advance, with the basics) and we've already had a few people RSVP, so that's pretty exciting!

We decided not to do save the dates - we're a small 40 family member wedding so everyone already knows the date! We'll send invites a bit earlier just to confirm the date.

We'll send some around the holidays, at that point it will be 10 months before.

In August of last year, which was 10 months before the wedding.
