How long before the wedding did you ask your wedding party?

My MOH already knew before we even got engaged that she would be MOH. My other bridesmaid I asked about a day after I got engaged. My FH has not asked his guys yet and we are just shy of 11months til our wedding.

1 year in advance in person and only 4 individuals.

Unfortunately kind of way too early. My fiance asked 7 guys within the first couple months of getting engaged (over 10 months out), and I asked my girls around the same time. One person isn't even in my bridal party any more, and my FH barely talks to a couple of the guys he's having (not a falling out, just lack of communication).

I think I'd suggest to people to wait until the novelty of getting engaged has worn off, and you really think about who you see a lot/are in contact with, and then make a decision.

We asked the wedding party for my side 11 months before the wedding and he asked his groomsmens 14 months before the wedding.

Engaged in October and we are getting married in August.

I had asked my MOH and all my bridesmaids between Christmas and mid January (they all knew they were going to be in the wedding except one).

My FH literally finished asking his guys this week

We asked within a couple of months of being engaged. We already knew who we wanted as they are our closest friends! It was just a matter of how long it took to put together a "asking gift" and we did the asking individually one on one so it wasn't a big deal or anything

I asked about 18 months before and my FH asked 12 before

I asked my girls at our engagement party which was about 14 months before the wedding.

Over 2 yrs in advance

Once we set the actual date it was a little implied! We've been engaged for over 8 years so my bride Squad knew they were in pretty much. I did have an official Lucheon to ask them formally with a gift, and to have everyone meet each other as I do have different circles of friends and family (10 bridesmaids!) that happened about 1 year before our wedding. (Lucheon in October 28th 2017, wedding October 19th 2018)

Since they’re 90% family, we asked straight away which ended up being just under two years away. Kind of wish I hadn’t just because the one friend I do have, I’m kind of second guessing since I’ve started to realize it’s a fairly one sided friendship but oh well. It’s one of the six people I’ll have on my side and it’s not like she’s gonna be hard to work with since she’s super excited and is willing to listen.

My sister new she would be moh and I have my fiancé sister and she new.

I asked my bridesmaids 10 months before the wedding date...just a couple weeks after getting engaged. My fiancé asked the groomsmen before he proposed.

We asked about 2 months after we got engaged.

I’m literally waiting until we’re a year out to ask my wedding party. My sister (MOH) already knows her position tho.

We decided on our wedding party right away and asked them less than a month after we got engaged. We were engaged April 2017 and we’re getting married this August.

Fiancé is in charge but about a month ago we decided to keep it local

10 months. I asked them all within the first week of being engaged!

We got engaged in June 2017 and asked all our bridal party by July 2017 just before our Engagement party.

We decided our wedding party pretty quickly. I asked my sisters right after getting engaged (so 11 months before the wedding) and my other two bridesmaids 10 months before the wedding.

I asked my girls about 8 months before the wedding. Both of them needed to travel to be there so I wanted to give them plenty of time.

I asked my girls about 11 months before the wedding, but my FH waited until 7 months. Stressed me out just a bit. Haha

We asked few months after leaving 2 years until wedding

We don't have a wedding party. That being said, I've already asked my best friend to be my witness.

I asked my bridesmaids a year and a half before.

I officially asked my co-moh's in February (1 year, 8 months). One of my bridesmaids is my FSIL and I'm visiting her and her daughter (our flower girl) end of April and will ask them then (1 year, 6 months).

I asked another today actually, around 1 year, 5 months out.

FH hasn't asked his bestwoman yet, but his groomsmen (my brother and his) are asked.

We asked them a few months after getting engaged.

Having a bigger bridal party, planning to ask them in a few weeks so it will be 2 years before.

We are not having a wedding party perce so n/a

Our wedding party all knew they would be apart of our day. We asked them around the time we got engaged. So close to two years.
