How do you talk to your vendors?

Email. It is more organized and there is a record of our discussion. We will then either arrange a meeting in person or via an online face-to-face discussion depending on where they are located.

When I was deciding which vendors to book I did a lot of phone calls, but once I hired them almost all communication was then through email!

Email is definitely great for having a paper-trail of everything you talked about!

That's such a good idea! I planned my wedding out-of-state and scheduled long phone calls with prospective planners and photographers to make sure we clicked!

I've met with all our vendors at least once in person--most of them twice. And then a lot of emails! I work Mon-Fri so it is hard to visit with vendors more often. But, I find emails are the best because it gives them time to find the answer to some of the questions.

While planning for the wedding, i kept in touch with the vendors through e-mails, texts and phone calls to make sure all was ok and the details were received.

The vendors that are local - in-person for at least one meeting. I mostly do pre in-person communication via email or telephone. I hired my photographer purely via email and one phone call since she works between Winnepeg and Toronto.

Always email. That way if anything happens that was not supposed to or if they don't deliver on something I have a paper trail. I avoid text at all costs for that reason and also because I don't want them to feel hounded and like they don't have a work life balance.

Mainly email... I hate talking on the phone and meeting in person. The only vendor we’ve met so far is the day of coordinator. Call me crazy/anti social or whatever, you’d be right anyway !

Other then any initial meetings all my communication has been through email.

Through email and facebook messenger. It's the easiest way to chat as I work shift work.

Mainly through email because they are 3 hours away. So far so good. Except the rental company is awful!!!!

I do text my hair and make up girls but thats it.

Email and Text have been my main! A few times on the phone but I prefer email as I can look back and confirm details quickly if needed!

We mostly did e-mail since we were working 2 different schedules and we got married 3 hours from where we live.

So far with the venue we have emailed - talked on the phone - and met in person. As for the other venues we have only been emailing them but plan on meeting in person when finalizing details and the contract.

Living across the country from our wedding location, I've been communicating with our vendors mainly by email and phone. It was important to me to "meet" our photographer so we did a Skype meeting from our living room!

I've done been in touch by either in person, call, text, email. hardest one for me to book was my DJ as he's constantly booked for school parties (and other events) so i had to msg him via Facebook. lol.
