My dress came in the end of November and I love it!

Got my dress a few days ago, bless my mother's heart she paid for it as her wedding gift to me. I fell in love with it almost instantly. Literally cried when it came time to take it off. It's beautiful! Sweetheart neckline vintage lace on the skirt and just the right amount of bling so it's not really OTT right....then came the most heartbreaking news of the day. It needed altering. The skirt is too long. The original person I had gone to see about altering it said I'd lose the lace. I bawled like a baby and told her no way is she going to ruin my dress. So today I made calls all over my city and FINALLY got a hold of someone who knows how to fix the issue and keep my beloved lace details. And I am over the moon about.

Bought mine a few weeks ago, still have 13 months until the wedding. As soon as I walked into the store I saw the dress and knew I wanted to try it on. the consultant gave me 5 or 6 other dresses to try and still hadn't found the one I first asked for, I was getting discouraged and almost ready to leave then she finally brought it in and as soon as I put it on I knew I had to have it. I had only went in to try some on and see what kind of style I even liked, I had no intention of purchasing one that day, but I loved it, it was also more than double my budget, I figured im only planning on doing this once though so I splurged.

Yes! I thought it was going to take me forever to find it but I was happy i only had to go to three stores

Yes! I bought mine in July and it's supposed to arrive in March. I had a nightmare last night that it came in and was entirely wrong and horribly ugly so yay for those starting...

I bought my dress exactly a year before my wedding! it should come in now any time! i cant wait!!

Yup, got my dress all the way in July 2018. It's out for alterations right now. EEE!

My dress was the second thing I bought and it's not a typical wedding dress from a boutique or anything, so no trying on multiple dresses and falling in love with one I couldn't afford. I just saw this amazing white maxi dress online and thought "that is so me!" and it goes great with a back yard wedding setting, doesn't need alterations, it's just perfect and I'll actually feel comfortable in it which was what I was most worried about with a more traditional style dress

I have! I waited sooo long to start dress shopping since we're having a longer engagement but I finally went shopping just before we hit one year out and found my dress at the first appointment!

My mom is storing it in her guest room closet until I start alterations

I'm going to hit up the bridal show on Jan 11, the bridal shops in the area give a discount if you book there. We still actually need to go for our tasting at venue (I was a brides maid there for another wedding) so I know I like the food. Have to get the times set out there so I can order invitations. I'm going to have a party with some girl friends in the new year to dye my sola flowers, then another party to put them together.i have to do all my table numbers now that I have it set how I want them. Get together with photographer in new year to talk about pictures I want. I'll have a couple dates with DJ (friend of mine) to work out the best type of play list (I'll trust her for the most part). 438 day I can do this lol

You're almost a year out! That must be exciting to watch the numbers get lower, and lower. I remember when I was at like 500 days and now I'm in the 200s. Time really does go by fast! What's next on your to do list?

My bridal shower is May 3! We're going to send the invites out in March for a return in April. Next up is designing the wedding invites - FH and I are doing that in a few weeks. It'll be cool to see our names on paper I think.

It is!! It feels so far away, but realistically once the holidays are over I know that everything will be here before I know it.

I also just ordered my bridal shower invites this weekend which got me excited about that as well!

I'm going to book appointments in January. I have till almost end of February 2021. Some of the dress vendors give a discount if you book your appointment at the wedding show. The show is Jan 11

Yes!! Love my dress! I ordered it last February and picked it up last July.

The next time I'll get to try it on is May for my first fitting!
